matt4486 Monthly Hockey Group Break September Spots Available
We will break live on Wednesday 9-25-2013 @ 9:00 PM EST
All Future breaks payment will be due on the 20th of each month. I will post on or around the 15th a list of products to choose from and give us all 2 days to vote. Once vote is done and product selected we will move to active at which time payment can be made. So please remember payment is due on the 20th each month. No excuses. Thanks everyone and good luck and let's have fun! Scans of Hits So we have had this up for discussion for a few days and this is how it will work. I will give everyone 3 options to choose from as far as product goes and majority would win each month. This months choices will be either 2011/12 Panini Contenders Hockey Hobby 14 Box Case ($46.97 per Spot), 2011/12 Panini Titanium Hockey Hobby 8 Box Case ($49.46 per Spot) or 2012/13 Panini Rookie Anthology Hockey Hobby 12 Box Case ($64.52 per Spot). Adding a 4th Option this month 2011/12 Panini Rookie Anthology Hockey Hobby 12 Box Case ($48.05 per spot) We will vote on this once we are full. Price per month will range from $50-$75 . I will give a few options each month so we can mix it up from month to month if we'd like. All team Canada and non team specific cards will be randomized amongst everyone. Any multiple player cards go to the owner of the majority of teams on the card otherwise those get randomized too. As far as teams go it will be a draft with 15 members after names are randomized we will draft our teams 1-15 then whomever has the 15th pick will pick the 16th team and work our way back up til we get back to the member who drafted 1st. Shipping each month will be standard at $4.00 per spot. If we break a case that has lots of base cards I will ask that everyone chips in at least an extra $2.00 per spot,or more depending if you do not want base and only hits then there will be no extra charge, to cover the extra shipping. Breaks will occur approximately at the same time each month and I expect at least a 6 month commitment from those who join (obviously not a hard and fast rule) but would like to keep this going as long as possible. Blowout rules stat that there will be no holding of cards from month to month so you will receive your cards every month. Those who agreed to sign up on the other thread please post again on here and choose which number you'd like. I will take backups if there is that much interest. I broke a box of 11/12 Panini Rookie Anthology and was quite pleased with what I got at $53/box. It's the second set of cards here. Got a Taylor Hall auto 09/25 for my box topper ... quite impressed with that product at that price and would suggest you do a case ($42.33 a person) of that over the 12/13 Rookie Anthology.
I move October 1st otherwise I would probably hop in on this -- not sure how it would work for the host if my address changed on that date. |
Spot 5 please and thanks
|
Sounds interesting I'll give this a shot so please put me down for a spot.
Thanks |

Oh I thought hosts used the paypal address in order to save cash on shipping. If that's the case, put me down for lucky number thirteen. And I'll be sure to sync up with you before you ship! Any thoughts on the year before anthology? You could almost squeeze two cases into the window you're targeting. |

Thanks. That's much appreciated! I mainly do the other three sports so this should be interesting! |
I will take spot 12 if we can take 2 spots, later if someone wants in they can have one of my spots, but to get us started and willing to keep both as long as needed as well.
|

You sure can we are now full once moved to active I will ask everyone to post their choices for what product we break this month. Also wanted to add that if we choose a product that comes in at like $40ish that prehaps maybe you guys would want to add in a box or 2 of this years Prime Which would add $13.67 per box to each spot but we have been getting some nice stuff out of that product. |
My bad guys we need to choose a product before we get moved to active. So my choice is 2011/12 Panini Titanium Hockey Hobby 8 Box Case ($49.46 per Spot) and to add a box of 2012-13 Prime for additional $13.67 making total $63.13.
|

second this as my vote |
My vote is Option 4:
2011/12 Panini Rookie Anthology Hockey Hobby 12 Box Case ($48.05 per spot) If anyone else also wants this option and wants to add one or two boxes of prime to it, I will change my vote to that selection. |
I like
Option 4 eldavojohn 2011/12 Panini Rookie Anthology Hockey Hobby 12 Box Case ($48.05 per spot) With a box of 2012-13 Panini Prime for $13.67 extra per spot |
Option 3
2012/13 Panini Rookie Anthology Hockey Hobby 12 Box Case ($64.52 per Spot) |
Option 3 with an additional box of Prime
|
I honestly have no preference one way or the other.
I am game for any of the box choices. :)! |
Option 3 with an additional box of Prime
Wouldn't that put it over the proposed $75 limit? |
I honestly have no preference one way or the other.
I am game for any of the box choices. :)!
same here, id be happy with any of the choices. |
Option 3 for me -- no Prime
|
I honestly have no preference one way or the other.
I am game for any of the box choices. :)!
while i appreciate you guys being really open to it (as i am as well), would you mind picking just for arguments sake? it could be a tie breaker at some point. thanks! |
while i appreciate you guys being really open to it (as i am as well), would you mind picking just for arguments sake? it could be a tie breaker at some point. thanks!
Then Option 1. |
Then Option 1.
once again, I agree with him. |
Wouldn't that put it over the proposed $75 limit?
Good eye, your absolutely right that would put us at 78.19 - what should we do? |
option 3 with no prime added.
|
Good eye, your absolutely right that would put us at 78.19 - what should we do?
It's really up to everyone else. I do not necessarily care about an extra few dollars but if there is objection to it than the answer is no we can't do it. |
I like option 2 with the prime add on also
|
It's really up to everyone else. I'll go with the majority since I'm not too familiar with any of the products.
|
Option 3 for me with no Prime.
|
Ok thanks all with that being said regardless of what the final vote would be the majority will rule for Option #3 2012/13 Panini Rookie Anthology Hockey Hobby 12 Box Case ($64.52 per Spot) Also we will do this with no Prime box because majority expressed no interest in adding that. I will request for active. We will most likely go active tomorrow morning at some point at which time I will post payment information and payments can be made. Everyone will have 48 hours to make payment. Thanks again and good luck. This should be fun!
|
Also guys for those not familiar with the product go to groupbreakchecklist.com and under Hockey is a breakdown of the hits.
Also guys for those not familiar with the product use this link it is a breakdown of all the hits:
Just FYI that PDF has a footer on every page: "Please do not Hot Link Straight to this PDF" If you want to be nice, you can upload it to google docs then share it with everyone and link to that. |

So basically the web server that hosts that PDF (although it's a small PDF, quarter of a MB) has to pay a resource price every time someone clicks on your link. Each of our browsers make a request then to that web server and that server, in turn, has to send that to us which uses up some of their bandwidth. They're probably paying a host to host their documents and stuff. So they aren't getting anything out of it and we'd be using their resources. If they are savvy enough and upset enough with the link, they can find where the requests are originating from (in this case, Blowoutcards forum) and block any more requests that referred from this site. Google, on the other hand, has data servers with very large pipes and don't pay a third party to host their stuff. So if you have a Google account, you can right click this document, save as to your local machine and then drag and drop it onto your Google drive (link at the top of Google Mail page). Then you would click through the options to share this. They block google drive where I work otherwise I would do this if I was at home. It's not a big deal but it's a kind thing to do since groupbreakchecklists probably assembles all these PDFs, pays for hosting and receives nothing in return ... |

NP, I know it's confusing. FWIW, if Blowout's okay with it, you can send users straight to the homepage of that site and tell them to look for the list. They have ads on the front of their site which must be how they handle hosting costs. Alternatively, for anyone reading that needs the list, here's a cached copy from Google's servers. |

Moving to active. When sending an Online Payment to the host, protect yourself by sending as goods (not gift). If a payment is sent as a "gift", you eliminate your chance of filing a claim or chargeback should the need arise. If possible, fund the payment with a credit card to be fully protected. |
Throw me in as a backup. Thanks.
