I guess it's about time I start an art thread.
Since The Art Of Robert Aragon just came out I'll start with my sketches for that set. Here are all my pack inserted sketches.

Pulled this a few years ago from Breygent's Vintage Poster Sci-Fi/Horror oversized set. I like it because its a larger than normal card (3 1/2 x 5) and one of my favorite films.

You are just plain wrong. I did not pay any artists upfront. I don't understand your beef with the break. YOU ARE NOT EVEN IN IT! You don't know anything about it apparently.

As for Chris, he has completed one card. When he finishes the other two he will get paid.

For what its worth, I am in the break 2 spots, and have never had a second thought about it.

I look forward to see what the artists do and i believe everyone in the break is an adult and made their own decision to join.

Thanks I appreciate that. I assure you it's going smoothly. Anyone who is not done by mid April, I will check in with and if something is amiss I will get someone else to get the cards done. There are plenty who have said they can do more if needed. :)

When I read his post, i just thought ricksam was looking out for a fellow collector. I dont think he has beef with your break; i just think he just had some concern for me, since I'm still waiting, yet Chris might be skipping mine to start on the ones for your grab bags which was recently started.

I've seen ricksam's username before. I know he's a sketch collector, so maybe he's been burned by an artist(s) before and seen them work on someone else's commission that was made after he commissioned. Trust me, it stings.

He's been posting in half a dozen threads talking crap about a couple of us, jj included... and as you can see, his post here was edited by a mod. He's definitely got beef, it's just not legitimate beef. With any of us.

I don't know at what point they changed it but the difference between the old cover stock IDW used and the new stock is like night and day. The Marta is on the old stock and took almost as long as the Kirk/Zira.

Oh that is nice... Really enjoy the reverse white/black. Not used often anymore.

Yes, I definitely prefer the larger workspace. I had a stroke several years ago. I was very fortunate and was able to relearn how to draw but my eyesight took a hit and the dexterity in my hand isn't what it used to be. The smaller size can be very tedious.

Cool. I saw those cards that seller had on eBay. It's sad what they are selling for compared to a few years ago but it's great for collectors. I almost bid on a few myself.

That's funny you should ask that now. Midtown comics had a sale that included supplies and one of the things I just got was some blueline comic boards. Yes. I would do that. PM me with the details when you're ready and we can discuss it.
