Juan Rosales Sketch Card/Art Thread
 

Hello all,

In various subforums, I've posted samples of my sketch cards that I've contributed to various card sets. However, since I've noticed other artists creating their own art threads, I too wanted to have one centralized location where I could show previews of recently-finished pieces, as opposed to littering various sub-forums with individual threads.

Also, this is where I can be found in case you'd ever like to request a commissioned piece. I chose this subforum because I create sports art is my area of interest, and I create artwork that is not specific to one single sport.

I could be mistaken, because it has been awhile since I saw it, but if memory serves correct you did an amazing Tony Gwynn for the masterworks, with the dotted shade effect. One of my favorites of all of the arts that I saw from that set.

I actually didn't do any Tony Gwynn cards for Masterworks; in fact, I don't even think he was on the checklist (which is a shame; I loved Gwynn growing up and would love to have drawn him!).

My bad, it had been awhile since I saw the card I was referring to, it was actually the Thurman Thomas that really struck me when I saw it.

Thanks. I still have some more blank APs that I need to draw on. Been busy with some commissions lately.

That stippling takes a toll on my fingers at times! I often find that my hand gets sore after finishing a piece.

Been trying to mess with Copics lately, but I just can't get the hang of markers. I don't know how you do it, Brad.

Thanks :-) When I was assigned to draw Ed, I knew I had to portray him as Al, since I'm a huge MWC fan and Al has the best faces ever.

I thought about drawing him with a NO MAAM shirt, but this image was just too good to pass up.
