Are Kyrie collectors getting worried yet?

15.3 ppg, 6.8 assists after 4 games.

Xiarmadillo 11-05-2013 11:17 AM

If you are a Kyrie collector, you are going to be having a field day with card prices coming down (which it would have done even if he kept up at his last season's pace).....you should rejoice instead of worrying

If you are a Kyrie investor, then I guess you could say 'it is only 4 games' while you secretly offload the cards to the next muppet =D

I hate the first week of Basketball season.

pepsiporch 11-05-2013 11:38 AM

Kyrie needs to make the playoffs

+1

How many Irving "collector" out there? Most people holding his card are looking for profit. Better title should be "Are people holding Irving card worried?"

Jayhawkaholic 11-05-2013 11:38 AM

With #1 pick Anthony Bennett going 0/15 out of the gate, Dion not sure what the phrase "shot selection" means and Kyrie starting slow it still almost goes unnoticed because it's an uninteresting team to watch.

EMD34 11-05-2013 11:38 AM

I tried to tell you guys Anthony Davis was better. 23.7PPG 12.3RPG 4blks and 2.7stls so far. :flex:

I assume we are kicking Derrick Rose out of the league for sucking as well?
15.3 ppg, 6.8 assists after 4 games.
given the 2 statistics you provided and the sample size to which they apply, I would answer they are not getting worried yet.
I assume we are kicking Derrick Rose out of the league for sucking as well?
may as well. to wit:

3 games. 14.3 PPG. 3.7 RPG. 4.3 APG. 5.7 TOPG. 28.8 FG %. 26.7 3PT %.

moral of this story...

Anthony Davis is the real deal, a solid player. But he's not a superstar and doesn't show that potential, even as a big I don't think he'll be as good as Blake Griffin or Kevin Love. Plus nobody's putting his goofy mug on a sneaker ad or coca-cola ad. Kyrie at least looked like a franchise, like a possible top 10 in the league guy.

2012space852 11-05-2013 11:47 AM

Historically rc prices take a dip. Perhaps if he takes it to the next level like an mvp season or playoffs where he is the reason and the focus, then prices will go up.

Plus his autos are everywhere, with panini.

The only year rose had a ton of autos was his rc year given the premium...

He's already better then Blake Griffin

minnesotachill 11-05-2013 11:51 AM

I am a big fan of Kyrie but the system he is in will not help him become a better player.
They have way too many big men, and he's being looked to as a guy who can spread the ball around, not score.

murrke03 11-05-2013 11:52 AM

Just wait till lebron goes back to Cleveland

Yea, Blake Griffin is offensively challenged. Guy has no post moves. I guess he can dunk.

It's the first 4 games people!!!!

If Kyrie was averaging 35 ppg+ we would probably see 10 threads about it.
Since he's not off to a hot start, there's suddenly nothing to talk about.

the season is a marathon not a sprint...these first cple weeks are really meaningless in my opinion...once the teams start clicking together and playing as a team knocking off all the rust then we will see whos who and whats what

PlentVictor 11-05-2013 12:19 PM

haha i would never collect kyrie, but i would be bummed right now if i had any of his cards i was wanting value out of. Glad i pulled/sold this summer. He'll be a 2nd string PG sooner or later hate to say it
