At $3600 for a case, what are the odds I will get that value out of it if I dont pull one of the big 2 rcs ??

I really want to take a chance but just cant pull the trigger. Do you think I can make at least 2 grand back on it ???

is it worth it??

Thats pretty good. You can always ask Chris if he can give you a Youtube discount and see where it goes from there. But you would have to video your break post it on Youtube and send Chris the link.

Back when the Cup first came out, the promise from UD was to find at least 1 of the big boy auto patches. I believe that there are 6 big boys in 05/06.

Unless they produced only 600 cases, that's not accurate. I'm pretty sure they printed closer to 1500, but I can't be certain.

I think that you're better off with 06-07 the Cup. Most of the Crosby's and Ovies true RC have been pulled, not certain, but probably.

I think that you could probably make 2K back, but I think that you would lose less with 06-07....OOOOOOOOR....

Haha, Yeah, but that might be able to pay off a couple months of mortgage payments a couple years down the road.

I'm salivating about how sick the Toews and Kane patches could be...if you get a patch out of the Indian head piece that could bring in some serious moola!

Busted case from BO about 6 weeks ago. I pulled a Gretzky/Lemieux two-sided patch. Other than that I did OK. I'll research the results from that break and let you know how I did.

On second thought, I pretty much got killed. Counting the 3 cards that sold for less than $25, I made about $1600, taking into account eBay listing and final value fees and PayPal fees.

So, the answer to the question is yes, unless you pull one of the big rookies, you're going to most likely lose money.

Lundqvist is one of the Big Rookies.....that would have been a good investment to hold onto. Especially now that the playoffs are coming around.

I agree! I pulled a Byfuglien, I'm sure I screwed that up, from 06/07 cup gold patch, about 6 colors, from head dress, and it sold for nearly $175! Loved it!

I was buying up Byfuglien and Nigel Dawes in the offseason just for the hell of it. Byfuglien was tied with Kane for goals up until a couple days ago (yes, Kane is a rookie, but Byfuglien is a DMan), and his stuff actually sells well these days. Amazing for a DMan not named Orr, Bourque or Lidstrom to actually sell. And Dawes started to see a little interest towards the end of the year as well.

That said, $175 is awesome for that card. I'd have to think that's about the peak of what it would fetch. I don't think anyone could regret selling for that price.

When's 07/08 coming out?

Yeah, probably late July or August...after you have spent all of your money on Superlative, SPA, and UC, it comes out and really kills ya!
