Just announced on NFL net.
Colts to sign Josh McD!

Terrible move for Josh if he goes there. He can’t afford to have two head coaching failures in a row. Not a great situation going on over there.

PATRICIA ON THE OTHER HAND 100% made the right pick in Detroit. He’s set up well there.

Why would Josh McD want to inherit a broken QB and that team? Doesn't make a lick of sense.

Agree that McD picked a bad landing spot. I can't imagine working for that dufus Irsay.

With that said, he'll have a franchise QB from the jump, and Irsay is so pilled out that he gives coaches PLENTY of time to succeed...

There is 2 ways of looking at it I guess. Maybe they got some assurances that Luck is going to be OK or McD is cool with Brissett having some experience with the Pat's playbook?

Some are not suggesting this means that Luck is or will be healthy in 2018. I would not take such to mean anything.

Hopefully, in a year or two, you can re-visit that guy’s post, Tyler. Only time will tell if McDaniels can help turn things around. For anyone to say at this point that they know it’s a good or bad choice is just chatter. One thing I know about people on this forum, soothsayers they ain’t.

If I was a Luck collector....I would sell everything now. We have had a complete lack of progress reports, no time to heal timeline, and no one really even knows what is or was wrong with Luck it appears other then shoulder. Instead we have a "I don't think I will need another surgery."

Like I noted before, I can only think of one other time a qb behaved this way. Montana with the 49ers in 1991-1992. Montana who missed all of 1991, would return to play the final 1992 season game...and was traded after the season.

Montana had two shoulder surgeries and Walsh lost faith in him (if appears). If Luck does do another surgery...it might be sky is falling. Montana was healthy enough to be in the 1992 training camp throwing the ball.

Note, Montana's career didn't end, he went to the Chiefs leading them a couple years, including to a playoff win.

My observation is that all Pats fans crap on Colts fans. And vice versa.

If McDaniels had gone to anywhere BUT NE and the Colts, Pats fans would be praising the hire. But since it’s the Colts, it’s bad.

By November 1st he will be wishing he didn’t go to Indy. This is purely based on the pieces in place on and off the field in Indy. I guess Josh likes a challenge.

They’re probably not gonna be a good team. I never said they would be. Just got a new GM and coach so they’re pressing the reset button. And no crap the Pats will win the division, they’re with the Jets, Dolphins and Bills. Duh. What a bold prediction that is.

Man I can’t wait until Brady and Belichick retire.

I dont think Josh is a good HC. He has already found his sweet spot and a job he does very well and has been successful.

He will not fair well as a HC again. Indy can have him. I love watching them eat dirt anyway.
