SPA Triple auto

How much value would this be if graded BGS 9.5?

Beautiful Card! I'd put it somewhere in the 1000-1400 range...possibly more if you found the right buyer. The beckett pop report shows only 1 of these has been graded, and it was given an 8.5. I don't see a serious Oilers or Gretzky collector really caring about the grade unless it was a real mess. That being said, it wouldn't shock me to see it go for 2000+ if you got a couple serious collectors bidding on it.

I'm not sure if grading the card would affect the value of the card too much. The only way it would help the value is if it was graded a 9.5 with a 10 auto. My guess would be that it would bump the value $100 to $200 at most. If the card is graded less than that I don't see it helping the value and could possibly hurt the value. I could see the card pulling in $500 to $750. It's not a very low numbered card. It's a great triple auto, but being numbered /25 hurts the value. I don't see it pulling in over $1,000. There is currently a Howe, Lemieux, Gretz triple auto /25 on eBay right now for $1,099 BIN with Best Offer. Those other 2 signers are much more desirable than Kurri and Fuhr. My suggestion? Post the card on eBay with a $850 BIN along with Best Offer and see what kind of offers role in for the card. I'd take any kind of offer over $600. But that's just me.

wont make much difference

but really nice card !

Beautiful card, but realistically even with a grade, I can't see it fetching more than 400-450.

As some background - a Gretzky/Kurri/Coffey triple /10 (sticker auto) sold for $330 recently and a beautiful Gretzky/Howe/Orr triple auto /35 (Hard signed) recently went for $375.

Last year I sold a Gretzky/Messier/ Clarence Cambell (cut) triple booklet 1/1 for $1250. So hoping to get anywhere near $1k is way off base.

Maybe not the brightest news, but my honest opinion.

Like I said though beautiful card :)

Perhaps I was a little high on my evaluation. I dont think 800-1k is totally out of the question though...given the hypothetical question the op had.

I agree 100% with this. If you get between $450 and $500....take it all day long and don't look back.

ZappBrannigan 07-04-2012 09:51 AM

If you get offered anything over 300 bucks take it and run.

TASS 07-04-2012 11:31 AM

As previously stated a few times, if you can get a solid offer for 300+ Take It! If you don't need the money at this point in time, you might want to hold untill the season as you would get more interest than in July IMO.

You must be crazy, not even a gretzky/howe/orr u would get anywhere close to 1000$ as its not a low numbered card usually.

If you want to sell it for $300, please let me know as I'm a buyer all day long.

A few months ago, may be. Have you noticed how soft the eBay market is now? Also, it is off season. If you can get $400 now. Take it.

solt0131 07-14-2012 08:15 AM

What did you end up getting for it?

MacIrish82 07-14-2012 10:25 AM

Wouldn't even sell this card in the off season. And why ask what u would fetch if graded, when it was sold raw? Nut up and grade your unicorns before you post such jibberish. Buyer should already have the card back and graded, and stuffed in the PC....

MacIrish82 07-14-2012 10:30 AM

Those auto's are just great to look @

whityscards 07-14-2012 09:13 PM

great looking card. Has there been a quad or more auto of Gretzky with RNH, Eberle, and Taylor Hall??

if not Panini, Topps, or UD need to hop on that money train! Still waiting on a nice Flyers multi auto thatll have Bobby Clarke, Lindors, Leclair, Hartnell, Barber, Cout, Giroux, and Leach. Soo many more names I could add in. Man I cant wait for something like the flyers starting 6auto card that came out this year, but with past and current players instead of the starting lineup

For the comment about the gretzky howe orr my friend sold that card 2 years ago for 2500 so the thought of it not being $1000 for that is totally wrong. The gretzky fuhr kurri will get $400-550
