That's why I wanted a junkie to nab it before it goes up.

Prices on blue labels were hitting $700 back in 2008...It will be interesting to see how high they go now.

Glad I have one...so far.

I grabbed a full set of Sandman and all the Death books- have 10-12 Gaimen autos in the set as well.

Thats a different sandman. Neil Gaimen's is in Sandman #1 1989

So w/o movie hype it was about $500 overpriced. If you want one now remember that no matter what happens these books will always settle in to closer pre hype pricing.

I will say raw copies are harder to find than you would think of 1.

If you recall, there was a bunch of movie hype back then. That's most likely what caused prices to be around $400-$500 for a while.

I have 1 #1, took me forever to get it, but it's not graded.. yet. :)

I do however have a Jim Lee Sketch variant of the Sandman Overture #1 at CGC right now... /me crosses fingers for 9.8+

Neil Gaiman's stories could be difficult to translate to the big screen. If this is true, I hope they do it justice. Just don't want another "MirrorMask".

Of course it hits 6 hrs after I buy a bunch of key issues.. He's right though, this will be a 1K book in no time.
