I caved in, multiple 90's box breaks
 

I tried to sell these a couple days ago but it was deleted as I did not know the rules of selling boxes.

A member commented that these need to be busted. Well glad I took his advice.

First up: 3 boxes of 97 bowman's Best

Then a box of 97 tops chrome, had a buyer for the box if I was going to sell but when your hot, keep going. Glad I did.

man you have GREAT taste- and some darn good luck too! Love both of these products, pulled I think 4 MJ refractors out of a total of about 10 boxes of these two products.

That Duncan atomic might be the hit of the break though. If he retires you'll probably be able to sell that for a small fortune!

Awesome breaks, nice change on pace from seeing a whole bunch of overproduced jersey cards and junk autos just to fill a guaranteed number of something in a box.

Those were some insane boxes. The best 97-98 chrome box I've ever seen. I thought it was only 2 refs/box. Awesome TD atomic as well. Congrats

I believe it's two base set ref per box 1;12 packs and one subset ref 1;24. what got me was the BB, the box with the Duncan atomic, I had three total Duncan rc. The collector gods were with me on these.

Thank you, that's true, these are so much fun, even if I haven't of pulled the cards I did. So much gems still locked away in packs. Can u imagine if the Tracy rc ref was actually a Timmay.

Insane break here, 4 MJ refractors is awesome. If ever selling, I would be interested in the Duncan atomic. How is the surface? Sometimes they stick or the cards tend to fade.

SK: for the bowman's best, I hit two Jordan ref in one box. Boxes were well colab.

Gnp: both chrome and bowman, the cards seemed to kinda stick very slightly but not one card had surface damage. I noticed one thing though, when the cards were pulled, some had like some sort of dry moist. I took a soft tissue and wiped the surface softly and the shine just popped after that. No damage or scratches to the surface.

yeah the base refractors are generally two per box...insert odds are a bit longer than that.

I pulled the same MJ season's best refractor out of a box of this, and then saw a bulls base refractor and started to geek out...


but it was Steve Kerr lol so you definitely take the cake!

Chrome tends to be stickier than the bowman's best. They were sticky even 15 years ago, let alone after sitting in a box for nearly 2 decades.

Thanks guys. I know, very hard to believe man. Funny thing is I was not asking for the moon on these boxes when selling. Was asking for 380 shipped for (2) 97 chrome, and (3) Best. Glad rareair told me just to bust them. I still have one more of chrome for a rainy day. Here was the pics from my sale thread but BO deleted it after a couple hours. I also pulled more refractors but did not scan because they were no names.

the biggest issue with this particular chrome, they did stick a bit but it did not damage the surface, since I stay in a high humid area, about 10 cards in the box had minor greening but I'm just nit picking, and the biggest issue but could be fixed easily is the surface moist. Kinda like when you put on wax on a car, then when wiped gently the shine comes out. hope that helps. Hope that helps
