I voted for Zaza
I voted for ZaZa.
I don't think he's an All Star. But voting creates a democracy, and if someone gets in via a voting democracy, then that person should be in. The NBA by changing the rules have removed the democracy that was fan voting. Now, under the new system, the NBA is picking all twnety players from East and West. If a person gets votes like ZaZa is, he should be included. In his country, he is an All Star. So my vote isn't a vote for ZaZa, it was a vote for democracy. |
Cool story.
It's because of people voting for players like Zaza that the NBA has "removed the democracy". He's not an All-Star by any stretch. |

I applaud your originality. They're not All-Stars, but players I enjoy/enjoyed watching. |

I voted for him too.
|
So a less deserving player becomes an All Star is a good idea why?
|
Would you like a gold star?
|
Democracy is a myth. I wanted to vote for IronMonkey but his name was not on the ballot.
|
Fans vote is 50%, players and media is the other 50%. Fans have never voted the bench players in, not since I can remember.
|
I also voted for him, we need more Caucasian in the all-star game.
|
The fan vote is stupid people voted kobe in the last 3 years when he either hardly played or played badly he took away someone deserving a spot like Damien Dillard and if zaza makes it all he will do is take it from someone way more deserving
|
So the logic in this thread is that if you're Caucasian and the sole current NBA player from your country you should be in the all-star game.
Jonas Jerebko for 2018. |

Does anybody realise how stupid that sounds? |
here's who I've been voting for. Guys that deserve to be in but I thought would be underappreciated.

It's an absolute joke that he's even on the ballot, much less deserving of a starting spot. Thanks for contributing to that for no apparent reason other than to prove that you can? |
It's not like the players or media are much better than fan voting (Zaza is the voting of a single country)
|
I voted for Pizza instead of Zaza cuz Pizza sounds better and brings democracy
|
The Bulls press social media for everyone to vote for D Wade.
He's not an All Star. If anyone from the Bulls go it should be Jimmy and Taj. |

Batum, A.Bradley, B.Beal, KCP(homer pick but he is getting better..lol) but in reality i for sure put DD, Batum, Bradley above Wade so far... Derozan- 28.2/5.4/3.8 Batum- 15.1/7.4/5.8 Beal- 22.5/2.8/3.6 Bradley- 18.0/7.0/2.8 Wade- 18.7/4.1/3.8 |

I can't see the case for Batum, although he's been playing well recently. I like Bradley and can see the case. Beal is way to streaky to me. Wade has consistency. Wade only has 1 game this season where he failed to get at least 1 of the 3 major stats; rebounds, points, assists.(1 game where he didn't get an assist). Beal and Bradley both have multiple games where portions of the stat sheet weren't filled with a number. 25% of Batums games he's failed to reach double digits in scoring. I like your list though and understand the argument for all. Longevity in this league means something though, whether we like it or not. |
Democracy is a myth. I wanted to vote for IronMonkey but his name was not on the ballot.
Not a myth. If he entered the NBA and qualified he would be on the ballot. Thats up to him to do. I find it comical that people are crying about how "Voting" for all stars is biased but find legitimacy in voting for an MVP. Hats off to all of you To the OP. Because you can vote for Zaza and you want to, that is your right to. Thats the power of democratic process. Plus the All star game is for the fans. Rightfully so the fans should have a say in who plays for them on their behalf!! |
