Bears Ground Eagles
Didn't need a defensive or special teams touchdown, either. Cutler was nearly flawless, Forte had a big game as well. Couldn't quite "put away" the Eagles in the fourth, but still a quality win. The Bears are now tied for the second-best record in the league. Any respect yet?

hey ill give it to you guys....our (eagles) defense could not stop the big plays of the bears but i will say we beat ourselves in the redzone we were absolutely terrible down near the goaline (except the INT)

They'll find a way to choke it away like they always do. |
We needed samuels, cutler had his way with the eagles secondary. Vicks INT in the red zone hurt also as you cannot miss scoring opportunities like that against the Bears at home. That was basically the difference, one mistake in the red zone, good game though.

Glad to get the win!! But, the Bears still have a long way to go to be competitive in the playoffs. imho

I didn't know the Bears were famous for getting off to hot starts and falling apart down the stretch... |
he must think that the steelers are unstoppable the way the beat the bills today

Respect - Yes
Fear of the Forthcoming Cutler Explosion - Very High The Bears are just not a formidable 7-3 team at this point.
Any respect yet?
|
Did anyone see the perfect pass from MIchael Vick to Brent Celek for a TD, that was amazing!

I still have them as the 7th best team in the NFL behind:
Pats Jets Atl Pitt Bal New Orleans |
I still have them as the 7th best team in the NFL behind:

When is the last time they won any sort of pressure game? |
They get my respect, a rather solid team they appear to be at this point.

They went to the Super Bowl like 4 years ago.. |
I don't care what anyone says, you've got to respect their defense. Everyone can bash Cutler and the Martz offense but you can't take anything away from the D.
|
The funny thing about the NFL is that the season is a sprint, not a marathon. The Bears don't have to be the best overall team in talent every day, it all depends on who is the best team on game day. The Bears get a lot of lucky breaks and great defensive plays, but that's the reason why i love/hate being a Bears fan.

Exactly. Teams like the Jets and Ravens are praised when their defense wins games for them, but when the Bears win a 13-7 game they get bashed. Jay Cutler hasn't had many games like this, no doubt, but they're winning games nonetheless. |

No, you still have cutler. |

Guess you didn't see the game Cutler had, huh? |
You mean his temper-tantrum to the refs? Yeah, we saw it.
Until he grows up (along with Rivers) they will never be taken seriously.
Guess you didn't see the game Cutler had, huh?
|

I've watched every game this year the only game we he got heated on numerous plays was the first week. Commentators have even mentioned it during the past couple weeks and they've said he doesn't swear it's all good clean trash talk because if you watch the guy, he loves the game of football, he has a blast playing ball. The dude has three kids, married, and is a fierce competitor I think he's all grown up, maybe I don't know Vince Young take some lessons from him. Rivers got MVP this year if he keeps playing like he has been. |
