Geez, what kind of idiots do these grading companies hire to ID cards?
|
What a steal, not just psa screwed up, but what's even worse is the customer who graded it then sold it as a base card.
|
definitely didn't help the seller, who seems to be a fan, didn't realize and posted terrible pictures to boot
|
Terrible pictures always gets you a sweet deal! I cant believe sometimes how lazy people are.

Great pickup!
|
Ouch indeed.
This is why our educational system suffers, the lack of 90s basketball card courses, specifically Parallels 101. |
Wow, nice steal. I had a similar, although nowhere near as good situation awhile back. Got this nice SE Gold KG for super cheap because PSA graded it regular.

Nothing better than getting steals on cards! Good work!
|
wow, serious score there for sure! I think every good collector gets one of these in their lifetime if they put in their due diligence. Mine came on a 1997-98 "spx gold" Dennis Rodman I found in a lot. Got home, turned it over, it was the grand finale /50 version. Sometimes it's just better to be lucky than good! Great card OP :)!

A few months ago I saw a Towns Prizm RC graded a PSA 9 labeled "Silver Prizm". I told the seller it was the base card and not the silver and to prove it had him look at the back and see if it said "Prizm". He checked..it was just the base.
Last year I bought a Draymond Green Prizm RC Auto and when it arrived in the mail it turned out to be the Silver / Refractor version #'d /25. Bought it for $20.00 and sold for $230.00 :D Two years ago I bought a CJ McCollum Select Gold RC #'d /10 for $55.00. When it arrived it turned out to be #'d 03/10 (jersey #). I sold it for $400.00 :D :D |
how to correct this kind mislabel graded card? I sent email to PSA and wait for a long while....but there is no any response....@@
|
I'd imagine you'd just have to pay the fee for reslabbing a card, but mention that the card is mislabeled. Haven't done it myself yet, but that's what I was going to do.
|
This is mine. The truth bleed green!!
Green uniform with green fire background and perfect PSA10 !! Very nice card!! But!!It's super rare green prizm parallel /15 from black box not white hot prizm!!! |
This error is a steal if you know the BGS and PSA Pop on this card. Also, I'd gladly have a PSA 9 as labeled of this card as well. I'm happy either way.

This hobby is funny. Some one gets one over on a seller and it's all "Yay!" "Great steal!" (Yes they even call it stealing lol) "good for you!" etc etc
Now I know you'll say "well a seller should know what he's selling" but when he DOES know and says "no way you're getting it at that price" then people say "boo!" "Burn the seller at the stake!" "Off with his head!" "I wanted my steal!" "How dare he!" And yet we wonder why there's so much corruption and immorality in this hobby lol Grats OP on taking advantage of someone who didn't know better! Lol |

Well, this card was graded about 20 years ago based on the number. But you send it back as a mechanical error and they fix it and mail it back for free. |

Lol[/QUOTE] I had the same feeling when first reading the thread. It's just a weird dynamic to see us all sit back and complain about the greed displayed by the trading card companies that produce the cards we collect and then 2 threads down see a thread full of people commending someone for essentially taking advantage of another collector. What's worse is that this is pretty much a staple throughout any type of commerce. |

Gland I am not the only one contemplating on this. |

Got it. They probably still make mistakes daily though. Ive seen more ridiculous mistakes in BGS/PSA slabs so this one is minor compared to some of those. In the end customers really should know what they have before sending it in to psa and alerting them if there was a mistake. |
