What Are Some Of The Best Elgin Baylor Autos Out There??
 

Really would love to add a nice Elgin auto to the pc. Still one of the most underrated players of all time in my opinion. Anyway I'm just not very familiar with what are his best and most desired autos in the market. Can anyone help me out?

A couple that come to mind:

2007-08 Exquisite Enshrinements (also his dual with Jerry West)
2000 Upper Deck Century Legends Legendary Signatures Gold

I agree that he's hugely underrated. For years he was revered as a dominant player and game-changing pioneer. Today he's somewhat forgotten. I still rank him amongst the top 15 or 16 players of all-time.

These are two I would be looking for if I was chasing Baylor

2010-11 Playoff National Treasures Hall of Fame Signatures Quads #2 Elgin Baylor/Gail Goodrich/James Worthy/Magic Johnson

2013-14 Immaculate Collection Autographs Jersey Number #199 /22

Couple things here will. First off, are you telling me there is a jerry west/Elgin Baylor exquisite enshrinement dual auto?!?! If so that card just jumped towards the top of my want list!

Second, absolutely Elgin is wildly underrated. Not only did the man avg 38 for an entire season (higher then jordans best, 37) and put up a record that still stands today 62 points in the nba finals against the great Boston Celtics, the man still has the 3rd highest scoring avg of all time! He certainly finds a place in my all time top 20-25.

The Chronology and Exquisite are very nice!

I like this one here. Clean nostalgic look to it, on card auto, and inexpensive. Only #/50 copies (gold signatures) and #/25 copies (platinum signatures).

The 2007-08 Chronology inscription is indeed one of his best autographed cards.

I have never seen the dual, that would be number one. His best solo auto is the 05/06 Topps Fan Favorites in my opinion.

Not a stupid question! Elgin was so very, very good.
You've seen a lot of pics here with great ideas of classic Elgin cards.
The Epic golds are certainly nice, and I am partial to his Master Collection autos as well, as those are strictly Lakers, truly limited cards.
I have several on my web site from my Lakers PC, including a Letterman patch auto. You can find some really great cards of his at reasonable prices still- have fun!

Hugely Underrated player. I agree with posters above. He's easily a top 20 player of all-time. His autos are pretty plentiful but again as mentioned above that Immac AllStar /11 is an amazing card.

People should also be jumping on his RC which is still really affordable and part of an iconic set.

I'm happy to have his rookie with the bonus inscription.....

You beat me to the punch :D Here is mine, also with inscriptions. Also, a pretty cheap, well done card (Topps hid the sticker well), IMO.

To the OP, Baylor is for sure underrated especially in the current "rings or your nothing" climate of sports. Incredible how cheap his cards and autos go for. Good luck with your search.
