Quick question about Contenders and your preference

Ok. Long story short. I've got a Cracked ice /23 of Kyle Kuzma that someone else is interested in. They've offered me a /15 Kuzma + i give them some PP for it. I declined. Then they offered the /15 straight up. I declined. They're now a bit perturbed with me. They think they're offering too much and i'm being greedy. I'm not actually looking to trade it so the point is moot. However it does bring up the question. Which would you rather have?

/15 playoff ticket or the /23 Cracked Ice?

To me the Cracked Ice is "the" card from Contenders. But i'd love to hear if you agree or disagree with me.

Cracked Ice. Looks better IMO.

Cracked ice all day is better

Zacy87 09-11-2017 08:22 AM

Cracked Ice for sure

LeonfromNC 09-11-2017 10:56 AM

If it ain't the 1/1 ticket or cracked ice it won't be worth while to have in the long run.

I guess it's pretty obvious where the consensus is heading. :)!

I like the Cracked Ice better, but it's not like a /15 version is anything to sniff at.

If you're not wanting to trade why are they upset you're turning down deals?

Not so much the point of the thread. But i think they thought they had a chance because i have a /99 available.

Cracked Ice without a question. Like Leon said, only the 1/1 and Cracked Ice will maintain value in the long run.

Not true at all.

Care to expand? Not saying you're wrong, although i hesitate to agree with you. But why do you think this?

If any of these players become a superstar, a lower-numbered variant is not going to tank or be ignored. Maybe the Cracked Ice is more popular similar to how the hyped Silver Prizms are more popular than /99 or /49 versions, but the fact remains there are 69 Cracked Ice cards per player vs. 45 Diamond Playoff Tickets (3 variations). They'll still have value.

Cracked ice is the way to go.
It has been that way for football, basketball and baseball.
Of course the /15 will still hold value but I don't think it will be as easy to trade/sell as the ice
