Took my son to Chiefs home opener and stopped by the baseballcard store (my old LCS ) and next thing I know my son is wanting a Kareem Hunt RC and almost a case later we finally hit one. He had so much fun I picked up a few more at home and he ended up with a bunch of Chiefs and I got some nice stuff as well

All of that and my son is now fully a card hound so win/win

Congrats on the hits! I love Spectra! Which shop in KC? I grew up in MO, went to Mizzou, was a cop in JC, and used to take alternating trips to KC and STL to hit the shops.

The Baseball Card Store over in JOCO that Scott has run for 20 plus years. Great guy and shop so always stip by if I can and now my son is wanting to make that part of our Chiefs weekend like Steaks at Plaza 3 and the game

Only Brees I got my son Boegarted very quickly (jersey card).

Nice break! Now you know you're going to be twice as broke with your son wanting cards now too..lol. I wish my son would have stayed interested in cards. He lost interest in his 20's. I'll be opening cards until my hands can't open any more..lol.

We did. Got tickets from a good friend who has front row at the 40 behind Chiefs bench so awesome game and experience. My son got a pair of gloves from tyreek hill and got to high five and/or fist bump Justin Houston and several others as they came off the field celebrating.

we got to use these tickets last year for the playoff game and he ended up featured in the new Chiefs commercial so he's a fan for life now (which may mean I've doomed him like my mother did to me) lol.

He's only 8 so hopefully I've got a few good years left.

Your son may come back as I quit and then got back into it later without anyone else in my family understanding why I was paying $ for kids gum cards.
