In the past, most boxes have had one on-card auto. Wonder if the red foil is extra or will replace the original on-card.

chrisfaceoff 12-15-2017 10:50 AM

I'm going to assume it does.

I'm also not going to get these in fear of not being able to pull a cracked Ice or Championship ticket after the debacle of Prizm FOTL.

I may try a couple. I don't think Contenders will be as plentiful as Prizm still is now weeks after its release. 2 of my LCS are only allocated 1 case. I'm actually more worried about this product being watered down with Sophomore ticket and veteran ticket autos. Panini could be ruining one of their most desirable releases, plus the fact they are dropping this so close to the release of Optic simply makes bad business sense.
In the past, most boxes have had one on-card auto. Wonder if the red foil is extra or will replace the original on-card.
Actually, last year (and maybe the year before) guaranteed two on-card autos, and possibly six total, rather than the normal five.

I got one, the extra content is always a bonus.

Never bought any of the "First off the line", I will try my luck with a couple boxes of them for contenders, as its the only product I buy.

CONNOTONROCKETS 12-15-2017 02:36 PM

Just bought 3 . Thanks for the heads up!

ACCDADEAL 12-15-2017 02:54 PM

thanks got 2

Detblkraven55 12-15-2017 03:59 PM

Just grabbed one . Any idea on the Red print runs?

That's what I was wondering. Given that they haven't announced a print run makes me wonder if they're going to print this to order or if they made oodles and oodles of them.

majestik101 12-15-2017 05:09 PM

sigh another one of these FOTL releases with (surprise!) unannounced super mysterious print runs of exclusive content. Fool me once Panini

Detblkraven55 12-15-2017 05:34 PM

The prizm bronze FOTL sell pretty good

daviswr7 12-15-2017 05:37 PM

I don't have the money to do this and run all over town looking for Prizm retail! C'mon Panini, give me a chance to come up for air.

Rhyno_24 12-15-2017 08:02 PM

I bought 2 cases of Prizm FOTL, but will definitely be passing on this... Only received 16 boxes and ended up canceling the last 8 box order because of Panini's horrendous customer service.

I'll just stick with ordering my cases through Blowout!

titletowncards 12-15-2017 09:11 PM

Ordered two.

This times 100. I was really bummed when I didn't get any low numbered prizm from FOTL. I imagine it will be the same with contenders.

Campbelljh3 12-15-2017 10:25 PM

For price difference is it worth getting first off lien versus regular hobby?

Good question I ordered my case long ago direct

Cost 110 ish

HeadstrongRSS 12-16-2017 09:31 AM

So wait...what was the Prizm debacle? What do people think the issue may be here?

RogerGodahell 12-16-2017 09:35 AM

Where's the pictures of the exclusive red cards?

Poochie 12-16-2017 09:36 AM
So wait...what was the Prizm debacle? What do people think the issue may be here?
They didn’t have any lower numbered parallels in them (Camo, Gold, Gold Vinyl, Black Finite) even though they said the boxes had the same content as regular boxes, just with the bronze cards as a bonus.

RogerGodahell 12-16-2017 09:40 AM

Prizm basketball did. Those boxes were loaded. I couldn't even order any, the website crashed so many people trying to get through.

My FOTL Prizm box had the bronze auto, plus a Cracked Ice Kupp auto and Gold Vinyl Aaron Jones auto. I did see FOTL box results posted with low parallels, they were far and between, but all across Prizm those seemed like tough hits.

For autos? Yes they were few and far between but I followed all the breaks and didn’t see any parallels numbered less than 49

If you show me a FOTL break that had a lower numbered parallel I’ll gladly eat crow, but I’m pretty confident that there wasn’t a break that had any of those parallels from the FOTL FB release.
