Baseball cards that never were - what do you wish existed?
 

I've been having some fun with this with both basketball and football cards, so let's play around with some baseball. If you want to see the others, the basketball cards are here:

What baseball cards never existed that you wish did? I'll get us started, as we all can think of two dozen multi-player rookie cards that swallowed up Hall of Famers, like Nolan Ryan and Mike Schmidt. Here's one I just cooked up:

I wish Cole Hamels has a Bowman or Topps chrome autograph rookie with a bunch of color parallels.

eTopps did a great set called “Cards That Never Were”. I have all but the Mattingly. Here’s a few examples:

I wish Mike Trout had a Dodgers card....more specifically...a Dodgers Team Card!

-Miguel Cabrera bowman chrome auto w/ parallels
-2000 topps traded Miguel Cabrera RC parallels (they started doing the golds the very next season)
-Mike Trout 2011 Heritage RC
-Justin Verlander 2005 topps chrome base RC

1984 Topps Traded Kirby Puckett.

Great mock ups! I love seeing the cards that never were but actually having them in hand in a PSA holder would be nice.

For giggles you should make it way off center but still give it a black label

Max Scherzer Bowman Chrome Auto and Parallels is a recent one that comes to mind.

Jose Altuve and Jacob Degrom Bowman Chrome autos

Cards #109 - 240 from the 1934-36 Diamond Stars Set (would have more than likely including both Ruth and Gehrig)

Joe Jackson in t205 & t206

A few others, but those certainly come straight to mind

2002 Donruss Originals has a cool subset called What If? that covers a lot of them from 1978-1988.

Stuff like:

This card and a Real One Auto RC. I can only imagine what they would go for if they existed.

Ichiro and Pujols Topps Heritage RC's would have been great too.

They have Bowman Heritage RCs (which I think are super cool, just not formal Heritage)
