So are we now just saying that when a BGS 8.5 turns into a PSA 10, it is 100% trimmed? There wouldn't be any chance the different grading companies or standards could impact the grade? What about if there were residue or cleaning needed on the surface?

And what are you pointing out in the image? It is so blurry there is little someone could see here.

I appreciate the work SuperDan has done in his threads, but those are clear cut. This one - not so much.

fitefanSHO 04-09-2019 11:37 AM

It's the like collusion delusion.

Every card now was hand trimmed by Putin lol

Grading is a scam
You see half his bat disappear or nah?
No, i see a really blurry, pixelated image compared to a higher resolution one, which is zoomed in so also imperfect.

fitefanSHO 04-09-2019 11:40 AM

I see a lack of due diligence.

And a ridonkulous rush to judgment.

discostu 04-09-2019 11:40 AM

It's amazing that this isn't a larger issue.

Of course, the wretched conflict of interest that is the grading market, selling market, Beckett, etc. make any real acknowledgement of the glaring flaws in the grading system (and hobby) ease to wash away.

Those close-ups of the bat are clear evidence so not sure what you're seeing. Thank you OP for taking your personal time to shine a light on this issue.

Are you on a computer/laptop or on your phone?

It's pretty clear cut

Compare those photos again, my friend. Now, pay attention to the lower black part of the furthest right. How is it missing in the after photo? Because it is zoomed in, and the pixels are off. Sorry, but there are too many holes for doubt here.

You play the troll really well.

So well in fact, I'd recommend quitting your day job.

This doesnt help.

fitefanSHO 04-09-2019 11:50 AM

Neither does endless hysteria over "trimmed" cards!

Wiseguy917 04-09-2019 11:51 AM

Trimmed or not trimmed, the fact that you can turn a BGS 8.5 into a PSA 10 means.......say it with me now kids.....grading is a SCAM

I can’t tell if you are trolling or if you really can’t see the chunk of bat missing? Besides, either way are you happy? If BGS 8.5’s can turn into PSA 10’s why are you paying such a premium on the 10? This is a clear trim job but with this many examples being caught just think of how many non-serial numbered cards are out there that were trimmed that didn’t get caught. It’s really making me re-evaluate how I collect or if I even want to continue. I know trimming has been going on forever but it takes a lot of fun out of it when you have to be so protective against trimmed cards and you know the third party grading companies are in such a rush to slab these cards and collect their fee that they don’t even bother to measure and/or inspect the edges.

Anytime we post something which is not 100% conclusive we give ammo to the Bill Sliheets, and Deer's of this world.

If you all cant see the comparision of the bat missing is from missing pixels or blurriness from zooming in, i don't know what else to say.
