2019-20 Donruss Optic Fanatics-Exclusive Factory Set
 

Thankfully I was up early and able to pay. Hoping they restock as I was only able to grab 5 before it was pulled down/sold out.

Appears to be a Fanatics exclusive Optic set with a 5-Card rookie parallel pack.

Seemingly been two loads of 750 boxes. 1500 boxes gives a RR parallel print run of 150.

FACT: Panini has changed Optic to a 300-card set!!!

If they restock, no one is getting any.

Then again that was probably a given no matter what.

I think that’s going to be a typo. Donruss was only 200 cards. I know Optic isn’t exactly a chrome parallel set, but it would be surprising to me for them to add 100 vets/retired players. If they do, that is a disaster for the breaks. The best part about Optic compared to Prizm was the truncated set.

SO these fanatics boxes are going to be a base optic set Plus 1 pack of 5 Green Parallel RR from what i am seeing. Just based on the AD base mock up. Missed the restock by about 5 minutes. too bad

It looks like even the base set is an "exclusive" Fanatics format. So you're looking at a base set with a print run somewhere in the 1500 range, plus 5 Green Wave Rated Rookies per box that should have around a 150 print run.

I had to quickly make a choice:

(5) Fanatic's Optic exclusive sets

or,....

(2) Prizm 36 pack gravity feed boxes


I chose the latter. Hopefully, I don't come to regret the choice.

Agreed sir - only reason I mentioned this is because it will stop me from building the Dragon set this year. Almost 60% on the 2018-19 Optic Dragon set though!

EDIT: I also feel there are many [B]non-traditional collectors[/B] that will want a factory sealed set like baseball. This will keep the market stable/upright as these weren't blasters.

Which is still probably technically wrong if it is the same checklist as Donruss - they did increase the base set to 200 vets and 50 rated rookies...

Interesting - the info shows 150 cards + 50 rated rookies. Regardless grabbed an additional 5 sets.

Was just able to grab 5, if anyone is interested...

I really hope Fanatics does not cancel any orders. After promos, applying for Fanatics card, and a $100 gift card from Costco I got 23 total orders in at an average cost of $55.24 per set.

Any examples of Panini "exclusive card stock" before? Seems like they have to be the standard optic chrome, but the term 'card stock' has me thinking maybe it's like the canvas stock of the Donruss football cards this year.

Given the greens of the box I'd assume a green Opti-Chrome card. And the packs have the Green Wave Parallel rated rookies.

are they numbering the base cards?

I am not so sure. Looking at the one base card they show,I would have thought if the base set was actually green they would have promoted that in the pictures. I am anxious to see what they look like though.

Here is what I think. I think the base cards will have white borders but have a rigid wave pattern on the card similar to that of the Green Wave pack. It will NOT be a smooth surface but a rigid surface for both cards. Just a thought. I actually think that would be pretty cool. A nightmare for surface grades maybe, but unique

Yeah, I get that, but I am only thinking because it says exclusive stock it must be something different. I think exclusive stock is different than exclusive color/pattern

Kicking myself for not buying these...
