Sure, why not? 💩

beavers 11-30-2021 12:48 PM

Color Blasts too, 1 per 10 cases.

mnvikingstwins 11-30-2021 12:55 PM

Boxes carry an increased suggested retail price of $325

Those aren't rings, he's not wearing gloves. Are they glued to his knuckles? Concept is fresh (in the sports card world) but yuck. Like he's got some weird growths on his hands.

Base cards look pretty nice design wise. This Allen is a parallel but the structure is the same.

Based on how I ranked the designs previously, https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1456848, I'd put this slightly better than the 2020 design. It takes a lot of cues from last years product.

Panini Prizm name plate top centered with black around it
Keyhole design, border squeezes the player in the middle then opens up again
Angles for the most part are softly curved instead of coming to a point
Player name, on bottom, smaller team name below that
random dots/dimples
I don't prefer the keyhole look from 2019, 2020, and now 2021 but of the three this is the best one yet. I think 2018 is still the benchmark and would love to see them return to the off centered design with flowing angles that inspires action.

Not sure I love the base design this year. Not bad but feels like something I'd see in Select too.

KhalDrogo 11-30-2021 03:17 PM

What exactly is Manga?

And love to see that they are using the exact same design for Color Blast again this year. It’s just brilliant. How do they come up with such amazing ideas?

Looks like a rip-off of Marvel, actually. Manga is supposed to be Japanese or anime something.

I guess those are supposed to be like the Infinity Stones.

Base design looks nice..

Plenty of space for those Gold borders on the stuff I'll be chasing.

Anime and another year of near identical Color Blasts... I'll leave that for the rest of y'all.

how do people not know what Manga is? Or am I just that nerdy?

Nah. I wouldn't read too much into it. He's a GoT fan and that show sucks.

Yes.

Theyre just comics, cartoons. Japanese.

This Panini insert is probably more like regular super hero comics but Panini wants to be hip. Another way of making a Marvels-like set, just another name.

IlliniBear 11-30-2021 04:42 PM

That manga card is weird. I’m not sure what he’s got on his knuckles it’s off putting.

Are you guys being serious?

Ive never seen a movie or read any of those comics but know what theyre supposed to be.

Well, I did collect Marvel cards in the early 90s for a bit.

AwesomeBrian 11-30-2021 05:23 PM

How many unnumbered parallels this year?

Onepocketj 11-30-2021 05:33 PM

Count me as one of the ones that had no clue what Manga was.

Cutting right to the chase. Too bad online prices will be $1000 more.

Only 56 this year

Increased SRP even though Panini's marginal cost of printing this product hasn't changed. Another one of their tactics to artificially set wax prices higher than what true market demand would dictate

ConcordXI 11-30-2021 06:42 PM

The other big change is a base set of 440 (330 veteran and 110 Rookie) cards. Harder to hit every numbered parallel as a result.

Kingofkings1281 11-30-2021 06:45 PM

Not even a slight adjustment to the design of color blasts? No one will be able to tell the years apart eventually.

Hope Panini's been putting in regular maintenance on those printing presses, they gonna be running 24/7. 440 card base set plus all those parallels? Daaang.
Count me as one of the ones that had no clue what Manga was.
Same here. So this may be a stupid question, but I thought it was called anime?

Anime is TV/Movies; Manga is the physical books (Think Cartoons v. Comics here)
