Honus Wagner T206 at the MET
Took the family to NYC this past weekend. We ended up going to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see the Disney exhibit. While we were there I noticed a sign about a baseball card exhibit. It is hidden away in the corner of the museum and it’s just a handful of framed cards hanging on the wall. One of the cards is a freaking T206 Honus Wagner!!! I’ve never seen one in real life before. It’s also in amazing condition. It just seems odd to me that a card worth millions is hanging in some hall with very little fanfare. Very Cool!

Pretty crazy how long ago the collection was donated.

Very cool! I have to assume that they've got it displayed in a way to not damage the card? I just bought a framed ticket stub to Lebron's first ever NBA game, and the prior owner had it attached with some extremely sticky glue/tape on the back (took hours to get it off).

They are VERY good at preservation. Don't worry. It is safer in whatever they've used there than any of the other copies probably are. |

The famed T206 baseball card set received its popularized name from the set's designation in the ACC. Many other baseball card sets are popularly known by their ACC designation, including: T205, E93, M116 and R313." |
