Who are the biggest "what if" players of all time?

What players do you think of who had their career cut short or some other circumstance like being on a terrible team their entire career? And you wonder what if things had been different?

A few players that come to mind for me are Bo, Barry, Megatron, Luck.

Who you got?

I've got a pretty sick Robert Edwards collection actually.

Sometimes i used to think about how the Patriots might have been even better if A. Hernandez wan't a serial killer. As crazy as that guy was he was a really good football player. The dynamic duo of him and Gronk we didn't get to see much of it. Hard to believe that was almost 10 years ago now.

I don’t think you understand what a serial killer is.

I still remember that college play in the Bowl game where he got injured. Amazing that he came back from that to still have a successful career in the NFL though I've always wondered how he would've done without the injury

Maybe you could enlighten me. He was involved in at least 4 homicides and 3 non fatal shootings. If he wasn't a serial killer he was definitely a psychopath.

tjforce 09-20-2022 11:21 PM

Tim Couch with a real NFL team and not the expansion Browns.

I don't think he would have been a superstar, but I do think he would have had a successful career.

What if a snakebit franchise like the Lions, Bears, Browns, etc. had taken a late round flier on Tom Brady instead of the Patriots? Would we even know his name today?
