2022 Topps Heritage High Presale....Thoughts?
Hi
I know 2022 Topps Heritage High wont be out until November 9th, 2022 but.... Currently Julio Rodriguez Rookie cards will be in this product and we could possibly see BOBBY WITT JR / RILEY GREENE / and a few others if they get called up soon. at $85 a box, doesn't it sound to good to be true? Rodriguez Base Rookie will probably sell for $10-$15 while Witt and other RCs could be in the $5-8 range. Rodriguez action variation might sell for $100+ while Witt and Greene could be $50+. And don't forget about the color parallels and variations. Rodriguez "Throwback" might bring in 3k. Plus the fact that Heritage High is always printed much less than Heritage, this product should be one of the best buys in 2022. By this time PSA should have a $20-30 grading level. Any thoughts on the potential of this product as well as the current price? I think it could be one of the hottest products if not the hottest of these past years. On a serious note, I usually get 1-2 cases each year of heritage and heritage high (never pre-sale) so it doesn't really matter to me. I love heritage. Probably my favorite Topps product |
It’s affordable and has the good rookies. For that reason, I like it.
Still won’t buy any though. |
Positive for nandrolone.
I think we've come to the point where if he thought he'd done something wrong he would have admitted it. His apology did not provide that. You can tell he wanted to skewer the testing system but he probably couldn't for whatever reason. |
I'll always laugh when I see that hook, line, and sinker.
I honestly feel it depends tremendously on the checklist. Julio better have an action and autos in this product. But the price isn't crazy to me, pretty decent. A year ago this would've been at $150 a box presale. |
Heritage is always a winner (in my book).

Base, action, color swap, all the variations, purple chrome, base chrome, refractor, red refractor, black refractor, gold refractor, superfractor, roa, red ink roa, and probably the best "throwback." Straight fire. |
Wait a couple weeks after release and it will be cheaper. Should be a solid rip, but I would wait for a better price. Timing will be perfect for dealers to be moving inventory before the end of the year too.

we were sure Julio was going to have his First Topps Chrome card in 2022 Topps Chrome, as well

It takes time for the masses to catch onto trends as a whole, so let me save everyone some headaches that is reading this. Our current market is not conducive to preordering at the moment.
1) Prices are still trending down. 2) Economy is still trending down. 3) Unknown content in releases such as rookies and sps. 4) Unknown if big cards are live or redemptions. 5) How will the product break? Better or worse than anticipated? There are other pieces to the puzzle, but right now, almost no mainstream release should be purchased ahead of time. I just don't see the upside to doing that, other than getting something on release day. Patience is rewarded in this hobby. This will probably be a decent product, but wait. |

#ThanksTopps
They will just put him in update. This is heritage “update.” He’s obviously in it, it just depends on if he’s just an SP or not. |

yes his Rookie Cards will be in 2023 releases, as he was not in 2021 Bowman's Best |
Michael Harris the Sequel will also be 2023, correct? He did not appear in Bowman's Best and has "call up" on Topps now, right?

Realistic street date?

It's changed 5 times...Was November 30th...now it's back to the 9th. |
Riley Greene would probably have been in a lot of ‘23 products if he hadn’t taken a foul ball off his foot late in Spring Training and missed 2.5 months of the season, simple as that.

Increased supply means value per card goes down generally, but it also means that serial-numbered cards and other rare hits are harder to come by in your average box (hobby or retail). Action variations, which used to be almost one per box, are now like 3-4 per hobby case. |
I just realized the OP basically just copied and pasted Brios’s first post from the ‘22 Topps Chrome thread. Well played

Lol. Heritage hasn't been hot in a decade. It gets less popular every year because the designs are boring compared to modern looking cards. It's a brand in terminal decline. The Red ROAs and Black Refractors have staying power but forget about the other stuff |
