The 2022 Topps Chrome Sonic Edition Premature Ejacufractor Thread

What are your thoughts on this new product soon to be released by Topps? :coffee:

i heard there's only 4,000 boxes, julio has a set number 69, and you have to order a double triple bossy deluxe to get it

cardsin47 09-30-2022 12:33 PM

I want it …..

notoriousrmb 09-30-2022 12:43 PM

I dislike the direction this has taken where one of their flagship products gets muddied by multiple parallel releases. There are now multiple iterations of Topps chrome with different checklists. This goes beyond the Topps s1, s2, update line of thinking. They’ve figured out they can make more money by just having multiple lines of Topps chrome in a single year. But I think long term it will grow confusing and become a turn off, especially for new or more casual hobbyists if this trend continues or expands. Just my 2 cents since you asked!

More products. More "scarcity".

mikejones 09-30-2022 12:52 PM

Positive for nandrolone.

I think we've come to the point where if he thought he'd done something wrong he would have admitted it. His apology did not provide that. You can tell he wanted to skewer the testing system but he probably couldn't for whatever reason.

Hi

I know 2022 Topps Chrome Baseball Sonic and Knuckles wont be out until November or December..

Currently Wander Franco Rookie cards will be in this product and we could possibly see BOBBY WITT JR / JULIO RODRIGUEZ / RILEY GREENE / ADLEY RUTSCHMAN and a few others if they get called up soon.
at $250 / hobby box doesnt it sound to good to be true?

Francos Base Rookie will probably sell for $50-$75 while Witt-Jrod could be in the $25-50 range.

By this time PSA should have a $35-50 grading level

Any thoughts on the potential of this product as well as the current price?

I think it could be one of the hottest products if not the hottest of these past years.

Phils747 09-30-2022 02:15 PM

If true, this would need to come out before the scheduled release date, right?

wilsonsingles 09-30-2022 02:20 PM

It will be testacular!

My friend at tupps told me this is a cross promo with Sonicare tooth brushes & Sonic Frontiers; will be aimed at delinquent children, art moms and balding 40 year old Dentists

hermanotarjeta 09-30-2022 02:37 PM

I can’t wait to watch my JROD and BOBBY collections grow with this extension set!

ElecDreamMachin 09-30-2022 02:42 PM

Will at least 10% of the product—and especially the hits—be severely off-centered with the chrome peeling off? Because if not, I don't want it. I only collect cards that are truly Topps quality.

dantheman514 09-30-2022 02:44 PM

Has there been any word on how many copies of the Sonic the Hedgehog SSP will be inserted into packs? Also, is there any truth to the rumor that there will be a Sonicfractor parallel with little images of Sonic the Hedgehog instead of the MLB logo?

Good marketing.

Indeed it is genius marketing. To continue with the metaphor, you barely have enough time to recharge before another release happens.

Lock In Now???

mikejones 09-30-2022 03:05 PM

Logofractor base set was 110 cards. Sonicfractor might be the other 110 cards in the regular set of 220 total cards....
