SP Game Used: BRUTAL!
 

Have you guys seen the breaks for the newly released SP Game Used?

Absolutely brutal!

Entire cases with complete Garbage, not a single card over $100 pulled.

Haven’t seen any Caufield or Zegras auto rcs.

The auto cards that have been pulled are garbage.

And….where are the “game used” cards?

All I’ve seen are stupid flags and game used glass and other nonsense like that.

99% of the cards are either garbage or ugly or BOTH!

Yuck….

Anyone else agree / disagree?!?!

Overpriced and under-delivered!!!!

Thats every year, the chase is for the jersey # base RC, everything else is fluff

SPGU is one of the worst products. Garbage GU materials and sticker autos.

LOL game used glass.

Only things worth going after in this set are jersey # rookies, supreme patches and game gear. Everything else is booty.

The only real pull are the jersey numbered base rc cards. I have picked up base of Kirill /97; McMichael /24 and a couple of others from their rc years. . Everything else is of no significance.

SPGU is an annual dumpster fire.

I nearly joined a break but held off. It used to be fun waaaay back. Now it’s trash.

I hope people keep breaking it. There are a couple of Supreme Patches on my wantlist.

Both for sure, but they are a long way from being released. Metal and OPC Platinum should be next.

Metal will be Jan 5th.

Ultimate RPAs sell for much less compared to similar product RPAs and their print run. Def awesome cards to add to the PC. If people get priced out on Cup and SPA autos and RPAs then maybe we see a nice uptick in Ultimate.

I would be fine with ultimate remaining affordable. I still think they’re the best looking set almost every year.

Agreed. I bought a Jason Robertson Ultimate /299 for $112 before he exploded. I have been picking up others cheap compared to SPA prices for /999

If "this" years release of Metal Universe is anything like the Metal Universe Champions that was just released, it'll only be worthwhile to pick up singles on the secondary market.

I opened one blaster of Metal Universe last year and didn't see it being worth $29.99. Do you think that will be the (suggested) price for this year's release again or will they come down?

The manufactured patches do nothing for me personally. I'd rather have a small one color piece of game used jersey than a fake 10 color patch.

I used to LOVE the Game-Used brand. Bought tons of boxes of Hockey and Soccer a decade or so ago. It's sad to see manufactured patches of poorly thought out jokes in the product.

What was MSRP and is it on ePack yet?

Going back to the 2000's, I believe it was pretty high out the gate and certain years, you'd get the same result as today.

Metal Universe wasn't not a tire fire last year either, though, TBH - the QC on it was atrocious.

I watched so many breaks last night, they were all complete garbage except like 3-4 boxes out of like 40-50 that were ripped

Most boxes had 2-3 banner cards/fake patches, a rookie /999, a base /25, and a jersey of a common player



I'm all for innovation and creativity but I'd rather them scrap the banner/fake patches and pay $80 for a 4 card box, total kick in the nuts still (still) but at least you save $100 for 2 cards you'd get likely $5-$25 for on ebay


I do think the glass cards could be neat since its something new
They could have some sick looking cards since the sunset was unreal during the bos v phi match

One thing I love about SPGU every year is the mem cards from the outdoor games, cup finals, etc
