Any Luck Cracking and Regrading #/10 or less at PSA?

I have a PSA 9 card that is numbered to 10. I don't really see any flaws. I'm thinking about resubbing to PSA but I know they have scans now. Anybody have any luck cracking and resubbing lately? Or should I just send to BGS

When you look at the cert # page on PSA of this card, are the scans of the card present? If so, you'll stand a higher chance of sounding the alarms submitting ungraded again.

Have the alarms ever been sounded for resubmitted cards at PSA? Has anybody who cracked and resubmitted a card to PSA, ever been notified by PSA that the card was previously graded?

Yes..

And what happened? Did they give it the same grade?

Oh no. What will happen if I don’t?

I won't believe you....

I don't recall ever seeing an example in this thread. I'm genuinely curious if this has ever happened, and if so, how did PSA respond.

I believe I've seen posts about this on numbered cards where PSA has sent the card back reholdered with same cert number. YES, the submitter was charged.

I've also seen where they didn't catch it, but that was all before they started scanning everything. Not sure about what would happen if sent in today.

Cool.

I’d put it at 50/50 today that you either get your card graded again, or they reject it due to it being graded previously. The 1/1s that they’ve labeled as 1/1 probably get caught just about every time. The rest of the cards depend on how much the people managing your order care.

So you don't know of any cases where this actually happened.

Got it.

If I recall, I feel that there was a poster somewhere that said that they got a message from PSA asking if they had the original flip because they knew it was the same card. Not sure if it was serialized or not.

At the very least I would resubmit under a different name and account.

Correct. For a time, they’d reach out and ask how you acquired the card after they identified it had been submitted previously.

I recently did a #/20 and it got the same grade, but new cert. No contact from PSA about it being previously graded.

49erRCCollector 08-10-2023 11:42 PM

I've read members here and had online friends say they got it kicked back if they tried to regrade.

Not sure how consistent that is, but it has happened.

I've had a handful of numbered cards resubmitted in the last 12 months with no communication from PSA.

3 got bumped from 9 to 10, 2 were graded the same.

brios8 08-19-2023 08:11 PM

I had a /5 card come back with a No Grade

Told me the card had previously been graded and that I needed to provide the original cert # for them to reslab it

Ended up just getting it back raw without being charged
