EBay authenticity service and PSA

Hi all

Never came across this and would like some feedback/input from the community from those who know

I purchased a raw card on eBay
It was sent to eBay authentication then to me

I received it and it is in a penny saver with a eBay QR code

My question is:

-it’s part of a set I have and all others are PSA slabbed, can I submit to PSA as is?
Do I have to remove eBay authentication seal prior to submission?

Any takes are appreciated
Thanks

No you do not, PSA will ask for permission to open it. If you don't want to have a potential delay, you can open it prior to sending in.

I would take it out and evaluate it yourself to ensure it's all good for grading. Submit in your own new sleeve/card saver. PSA doesn't care about ebay's raw card authentication.

That "seal" is just there in case you return the card, to show it was not tampered with, as it will go back through authentication on the return. PSA doesn't want to see that.

You can submit to PSA as is. They will just cut it out.

Nothing like letting PSA get pair of scissors or a knife close to your cards!

Open it. Inspect the card. Place it in a new sleeve. I'd probably replace the card saver too. I've gotten some very dusty, dirty sleeves before through ebay auth program, likely the original sleeve from the seller before the double-sleeving by the authenticator.

I would not trust the card as-is unless you really don't care if it grades lower than expected. I'm not assuming that this particular card is presumed a gem mint 10, but whatever grade you would hope for, it could be lower. If it comes back a 6 because of a surface dent that you missed because you fired it off to PSA as-is, that would be disappointing in my opinion. And don't assume the auth program catches anything and everything. They could damage the card after it passes authentication. Always closely inspect everything.

Good luck.
