Ballpark flaws

Big Mets fan but I hate the proximity to LaGuardia airport. Watching this game and the planes flying over and making noise irritates me.

Do any other ballparks come to mind with flaws? We always talk about the e positives but there are negatives too.

Rockies parking situation is terrible too. It’s over a half-mile walk from the train station.

Shea.

Flaw? they tore it down

Don’t be silly. Citi field.

But I do miss the lights on the side of the stadium.

that place sucks

Dodgers stadium. Takes forever to get out of the parking lot. I believe there are only 3 or 4 exits for 60,000 fans.

Yup, terrible design. That's why the wife and I park on the outer ring near the police academy and just walk past the traffic jam :)!

I felt the same way, 1/2 mile is nothing. I've been to Rockies stadium and it's not a bad walk.

Really? I hate the walk. Guess I've never been sober after a game to enjoy it. Each time I go (when visiting family) I wear myself out and wind up in one of those overpriced restaurants. It's the altitude. I just cant breathe in that town.

Not only is Dodgers parking the worst, but Angels parking is probably the best parking in the history of any sports/entertainment event. It's literally less then 5 minutes from pulling into lot to inside of stadium. The parking just puts you in a good mood, at least till you get inside and remember you have to watch the Angles play.

I have been to many Phillies/Eagles games and the stadium experience has been positive 99% of the time. Very little issues. That being said getting out of the parking lots is a nightmare. They still haven't figured out how to flow the traffic with the multiple entrances to 95 and to I 76 if you're going that way.

The right field seats in Fenway Park face center field instead of home plate.

gmarutiak 05-13-2024 07:08 AM

PNC Park insists on being home to a team that's really bad at baseball.

The Trop in St Pete is one giant flaw.

Seems like we're all in the same boat with getting OUT of the parking lot. I go to Marlins loandepot once a year to see the Phillies and every time I regret driving there just because of the parking situation

They are all far far away from me. Sucks.

How does nobody mention parking at Yankee Stadium. It can be over an hr drive out of the bronx after a game.

YouTheManNick 05-13-2024 09:21 AM

"Go Cubs Go" playing at the end of every Cubs home victory.

Goodness gracious I despise that corny song.

I get that they've become too family friendly for "do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight" after a win like when I was a kid. But surely we can do better than "Go Cubs Go"

The one place I recall zero issues getting OUT of the parking lot after a game was in Milwaukee. They knew what they were doing when they designed that location to flow traffic directly out of the lot onto the freeway. I dread leaving the parking lot at every stadium I go to. But in Milwaukee we were going 70 mph on the freeway in a couple short minutes.

The biggest flaw with LoanDepot park is that it's always empty due to the substandard team the Marlins roll out.

If you go to a brewers game and you are able to drive afterwards, you are doing something wrong.

This is accurate. When I went to a Brewers game a few years back I saw fans tailgating like it was a football game. I’ve been to 20 different major league stadiums and this is the only place I have seen that at.
