Think the first thing I remember him in as a kid was Animal House. Great actor.

He and Stephen Rea were great in the HBO movie 'Citizen X' about a serial killer in 1980's Russia.

He was the original Hawkeye Pierce in the MASH movie.

Always liked him. He did a small movie years ago called The Assignment about Carlos the Jackal. I don't think it was ever released theatrically. It's excellent and worth watching if you get a chance

RIP Mr. Sutherland. He was excellent in Ordinary People

His scene w/ Costner in JFK precisely sums up how and why Kennedy was killed. Riveting dialogue....

God Bless Donald Sutherland. Too many great roles to list from MASH to Hunger Games but this was one of my favorites…

The scream at the end of body snatchers is one of the more memorable film moments from when I was a kid. That and Kelly LeBrock in weird science.
