Alonso over Lindor and Nimmo for the Mets rep is just wrong
|
Shout out to my boys CJ, Riley Greene, Devers, and Bohm!
|
Zero reason Arraez is on this roster over Turang.

Arraez is the hits leader. |
Jesse Chavez not making it is a damn shame.

Arraez was voted in as a 2B has not played it all season. Once again zero reason he belongs in there over Turang. |

Did he get voted in or did MLB select him? If he got in via fan votes, don't know what to say. If MLB picked him, it's because he hits for a lot of singles. I have no skin in the game but I'm going to assume because he is the hits leader, he got in. |

He's a reserve, meaning he made it as a combination of player voting and the commissioner's office. And just like the fan vote, the player vote is nothing more than a popularity contest. Turang leads Arraez in nearly every other category except hits. |

I'm just speculating here, but could the commissioners office picked him for name recognition? Another speculation here, but I feel like more people know Arraez than Turang. MLB social media goes crazy anytime Arraez does anything and make a ton of posts about it. I don't remember when they posted about Turang. Like I said, this may be a name recognition thing and maybe Arraez is the new Jeter who goes in by name recognition? |

They have no idea who is doing what across the league (just like the coaches poll in college). The commissioner's office is basically there to make sure all team's are represented. Turang was snubbed, plain and simple. There's no need to try and justify it. |
I could be wrong about this, but I believe I read something last year that the player/manager vote actually takes place before fan voting. I saw Lindor get asked today about not getting chosen, and he said something about "not sucking in April."
|
Clay Holmes over Andre’s Munoz is stupid

And instead the 4th best SS in the NL makes the team due to every team needing a selection |
Bobby Baseball!
Bobby Baseball!
I was surprised to hear he was a 1st time selection. How was he not a an All-Star last year?! I must have blocked that terrible memory out of my mind. |
Holmes over Kimbrel and Semien over Westburg.....yikes

Surely you aren't referring to the guy who's #2 in WAR in the NL? Id argue Elly should be the starter over Turner. |

Should have gotten more votes then. I stand by what I said. Really don't give a damn what his WAR is. |

was not yet legit! |
Did the Phillies really need Strahm & Hoffman on there?

Using hammertime's logic, they have the two best WARs among NL relievers, so yes? |

Exciting to go around with their starting INF |
Excited to see our starting outfield in the game, to think it was an area of major concern coming into the season
|
Lindor is the biggest NL snub.
