I watched the highlights of the exhibition game between Team USA and Canada from yesterday and am getting excited to watch the Olympic games. Lebron, Curry, Embiid, Tatum, Booker, AD, Edwards -- this should be fun.

If you're Canadian or rooting for another country, let's hear it.

Btw, does anyone know if Panini has exclusive trading card rights for team USA cards? I'm wondering if we'll see Topps producing Olympic cards.

I could care less about Olympic basketball cards, men's or women's. I want Track & Field. There are some stud athletes on both mens and women's sides that have yet to make their cardboard debut.

Even if they do, would they have the competence to make and launch the cards in a timely manner? Panini has been dropping the ball for awhile now. And Fanatics is its own sh%t show, so it’s basically you get what you get.

This is accurate

Looking forward to this as usual. It's a far better product than the NBA as there's so much more team ball and at a great pace.

Not sure what to think of the Aus vs USA game. The American shooting was pretty great. They'll live and die with that and defensive pressure for easy buckets as usual. Most of that squad are just one on one style guys.

Aus were doubling Embiid a lot and gifting open shots.

The Aus team is probably not as strong as the last Olympics so I'm not confident we'll medal this time.

I thought Aus would have lost handily. But can't read too much in to it.

Here against Serbia for the first time you see a physical team. Don't see White on the floor? A lot depends on Jrue. Ah I'm behind on the stream. Don't listen to me. No one on his team can handle Jokic's passes or hit an open 3.

Heck its not even that, its basically swimming, some track (sprints and relays) and women's gymnastics. The only guarantee is nbc's coverage will be unwatchable.

Looks like there will be USA Topps Chrome Olympics cards of: Curry, Durant, Magic Johnson, Christian Laettner, Dwayne Wade, Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, David Robinson, Mikal Bridges, Carmelo Anthony, and Jimmer Fredette (assuming for 3x3).

Will people care about the Curry? Looks like his first TC cards (although not NBA licensed) since his rookie.

There is some payer (starts with R) who already has moves resembling Wembanyama in SL, as if it's a trend.

Nah man, these aren't NBA-licensed cards so no one will care about them. Pure garbage.

I wondered about this (haven't had a chance to watch game): without a physical young perimeter defender (even Canada has Dillon Brooks and, arguably Andrew Nembhard) USA may find its aging legs out-excelled.
