Begrudgingly voted for Lamar.

Germany gets the poop game of the week. Good riddance.

Excellent poll, 10/10.

Ehh at least there's 2 exciting rookie QBs to watch.

Though I normally agree the Pats are involved in the poop game.

Henry.

I don’t care what you say, he needs to get recognized at least once. He’s a unicorn.

Boo 11-05-2024 09:45 AM

I see the JGoffs are out in full force already.

Derekbauer 11-05-2024 09:50 AM

Lamar and Henry are just so good right now it’s hard to vote for either over the other. What Goff is doing is also amazing but I’m back on Allen based on talent around him right now.

foleylion08 11-05-2024 09:52 AM

Four votes for Goff? Y'all are joking, right?

TheHeel 11-05-2024 09:52 AM

Gotta go with Lamar.

Surprising given your alleged boosting of Caleb Williams. One would think a fan would always be happy to watch a game of his.
Four votes for Goff? Y'all are joking, right?
Keep laughing. Goff is going to hoist that trophy at the end of the year. He will be the QB of the best offense in the league on the team with the best record (at least NFC) and the Lions are a media darling right now. It is his to lose. Allen would be the closest. Lamar is doing great, but i think the voters are looking for a reason not to give it to him again. At least until playoff success. Goff and splitting votes with Henry is enough excuse.

foleylion08 11-05-2024 10:41 AM

Goff isn't the best player on the offense. Just because he's the quarterback of the team does not mean he is the most valuable. Montgomery, Gibbs and St. Brown are all more integral to the offense's success. Goff is the Most Valuable Game Manager. I'll go as far as to say he doesn't finish top 3 in votes.

True. There have been quite a few games where he doesn't pass for that many TDs or yards because the team just doesn't need him to in order to win, which isn't great for his case. Lamar on the other hand is still heading a run-first team and putting up career highs in QBR, passer rating, and passing TDs.

Right now he might squeak in at #3 but if Mahomes can keep up some momentum, I agree that he won't finish top 3.

You are right, best player was poor word choice. The most important pieces on offense is Ragnow, Sewell, and the rest of the Oline. Montgomery is an average back, Gibbs is great. Both get boosts behind the best Oline in the game. Goff can't run at all, so Oline is a must for him.

We all know the QB will get all the credit for the team's offensive success when it is all said and done. I should have said Goff is the QB on what could be the best offense in the NFL.

foleylion08 11-05-2024 11:04 AM

I don't have anything against Goff, he's just vanilla. Plain. There's not much exciting about his game. And voters vote for the flashy players or the stat compilers.

sethc1020 11-05-2024 11:12 AM

Right now at the half way point I have to say Lamar but Henry really shouldn't be far behind him. After that Allen, Mahomes (if 2nd half is closer to last night he will start creeping up fast), Daniels, Goff, Burrow if he can find a way to get this team to the playoffs.

Above the Rim 11-05-2024 11:13 AM

One guy leads the NFL in both QB rating & Passer Rating - Lamar.

tjforce 11-05-2024 11:19 AM

I voted Allen.

Lamar has 2 things: Derrick Henry and 3 losses.

This award is "most valuable". Ravens are 6-3 with the best run game in football. Switch out Lamar with replacement level QB and the team is what, 5-4?. 4-5?

How quickly are people forgetting about him missing a wide open Zay Flowers and overthrowing Likely to lose vs the Chiefs? And yeah, that loss is to the 8-0 Chiefs which is understandable... but his other two losses?

Browns and Raiders.

Above the Rim 11-05-2024 11:23 AM

Ravens pass defense the the worst in NFL, Lamar's fault ?

asujbl 11-05-2024 11:35 AM

Baker obviously

Still have lots of PSA 10’s I need to move

escapegoat 11-05-2024 01:19 PM

dookie game is obv

 gotw is pitt/was

dbpsooner 11-05-2024 01:27 PM

I voted Lamar. He would be my pick if the season ended today with Allen a close second and Burrow third. Like others, the Goff support is puzzling. He isn't asked to do anything in that offense. There are at least a dozen other QBs that could do what he is doing behind that o-line with those weapons.
