96 97 skybox autographics question
 

now that my set is completed any predictions or opinions on the long-term potential of the set.

I haven't really noticed any crazy growth of any cards since I started my set 2 years ago. Some blues popped decent, but it seems to be sideways or a very slight upward trajectory on all black autos not short printed by player auto mistakes.

I only own 1 blue ink Dana Barros psa 9.
I guess they will hold value well, but not sure!

Still looking for hakeem, steve nash, pippen, and damon stoudemire if you got doubles

Can't remember why I remember this but I think they're referring to the fact that there were a handful (at most) of players who didn't follow the directions that Fleer gave them of only singing 100 in blue, and the rest in black.

Pippen and Olajuwon signed them all in blue; garnett switched pens half-way through [URL="https://www.beckett.com/basketball/1996-97/skybox-premium-autographics/"]per beckett [/URL]. There might be more anomalies besides these 3.

i was thinking about tossing a blue set together over the next 35 years lol i came across this "blue" hakeem. Am i crazy or does this look like black ink. I was always aware of hakeem just being signed in Blue ink. Seller swears up and down "its blue the pic just makes it look black" but wont provide any extra pictures lol.

my eyes going bad or is this a forgery because i see black lol

If someone has to convince you it’s a blue, it’s most likely not…once you see an actual blue, it’s apparent

The seller told me it’s clearly blue in hand but wouldn’t provide any other pics so I avoided it

I just passed on a Penny auto high on my wantlist because of the same issue, what should be a bright blue auto is starting to turn black.
