Official Nick Kurtz Thread.
He should be up soon. This guy can flat out rake.
And no he’s not blocked. Just move Rooker to the outfield. |
The guy hits nukes in MLB the Show 25
|
If Kurtz hit 74 HR for the A's in a minor league stadium would the baseball world accept that number as a record? Halfway kidding of course, but he is going to hit a lot of dingers in that stadium. A lot.
|
Always exciting to see a guy named Nick doing work.

My body's ready. My wallet is not. |

It would be the most As thing ever if they kept him down all year and he hit 74hr. |

That would be one of those cool/not cool deals. I need a flagship rookie ASAP. |
Hope they call him up. Stashed him in fantasy. Strikeouts are concerning but that’s baseball these days.

Getting called up!!!

You love to see it!!! The Big Kurtz is in The Show! |
among all the young A's who has the highest potential:
Lawrence Butler Jacob Wilson Tyler Soderstrom Nick Kurtz ? |
among all the young A's who has the highest potential:
among all the young A's who has the highest potential:
Lawrence Butler Jacob Wilson Tyler Soderstrom Nick Kurtz ?
Much of the focus on responses to this question will be a Butler vs. Kurtz argument but worth noting that Jacob Wilson's 80% outcome probably involves a couple batting titles and Tyler Soderstrom is obviously having a moment. That's a really solid core of young guys. Fun time to be an A's fan, i'd imagine. |
Who is getting benched and/or optioned after the call up?
Kurtz goes to 1st base, Soderstrom to DH, and one of OF/DH guy gets replaced? |

You have got to be kidding me.
I'm surprised they didn't just demand they call him Nikolai Kurtz or Nicholas Kurtz. |

Reminds me of the “Hey, Dinger!” incident in Colorado. |
This is negative surprising, and it's not hard to understand why. Did you ever hear how carefully someone would announce when Buck Farmer was entering a game? :D
You have got to be kidding me. I'm surprised they didn't just demand they call him Nikolai Kurtz or Nicholas Kurtz.
Good luck to Mr. Kurtz! Always fun when hyped guys are coming up, and cool that more and more picks are reaching the bigs so soon after being drafted |

Rusty would be proud. |

Isn't this a Ray William Johnson from Youtube prank? I think Nick Gurrs was the name he used. Ridiculous either way. Just call him Kurtz if that'll stop everyone from crying about it and blame the announcers for racism. |

It's not that deep. If you can avoid even the possible perception of saying a racial slur on a broadcast, why would you not? Lol. It's no different than trying to avoid Buck Farmer. You guys are far more worked up about this than anyone else
