Can there ever truly be 'buzz' over Score?
Although I actually DO like the NFL Draft picks inserts

Some collectors appreciate lower end products as well. The first release seems to be popular amongst many.

Yeah. I get old Topps paper base vibes from it, and sometimes they have the longer checklist.

I thought last year's Score had the best base card design of the year. Awesome stuff.

This one is close, but a few notches down. That's quite a big pylon...on every card?

Dollar for dollar, you do a lot better on Score than many other products.

No, why would anyone want college uni card on nfl licensed product? Just buy Bownan U at that point

Thata not saying much tbh when most box have 20% ROI

I enjoyed 2024 Score, the Hot Rookies were cool and I also liked "The Franchise" inserts. I also liked (for better or worse) how some of the higher numbered parallels were cooler than the lower ones. The Orange Lava /630 had some of the best eye appeal. I bought a Hobby Box and a couple blasters and had fun ripping it.

As mentioned above, that huge pilon that's presumably on every base card doesn't look great.

oldgoldy97 04-25-2025 06:42 AM

Bad class incoming. 2013 worthy.

$135 suggested price for a box. I look forward to it being sold for $250+ on day of release. I don't mind Score. But being the first product the boxes hike up way too high. $250 isn't a lot for a box, but it is when the price should be $135 and it's Score...this draft class is pretty rough too. Not sure how much I want to buy this year just to flip. Not really my thing.

majestik101 04-25-2025 11:02 AM

There's no way on God's green earth I'm spending $250 for a box of Score. Singles FTW

In fact, Score is one of those sets I have very good luck finding great singles of . Managed to scoop up a dirt cheap 2024 Score Red Zone Lavonte David Auto /20 PSA 10 at a recent card show.

Plan to do the same with 2025 Score too. Patience is key

Panini should have tried to make this a kind of “flagship” or at least not had college uni’s. No one seems to complain about the price of S1/2 Hockey or flagship baseball that are over $100 and you are guaranteed zero autos (and basically impossible in hockey, may have 1-2 subjects) but $250 for four autos is insane lol

I’m not a big fan of Score but honestly think I may grab some this year. I like getting four autos without selling a kidney, it’s the first look at the new class as mentioned and I never had a huge issue with college uni’s but now with Bowman etc it seems more widely accepted as well. Not sure who is with Fanatics but that would be my only hang up if there’s very minimal ok options for autos due to exclusivity

Because some prefer college uni to pro and enjoy Score's design and deep checklist. Each year I pick up the Iowa guys from it, since they don't always make it into other releases. It gives me a throwback feel to when I first started collecting in the late 80s.

EscapePlan 04-25-2025 07:35 PM

Loved 2024 Score. It had a really classic design and parallels popped.

kyle1707 04-25-2025 09:14 PM

400 a box ?

Steals and deals ?

anusinha 04-25-2025 09:51 PM

2025 Panini football is fully licensed, right?

slyguy 04-25-2025 11:54 PM
2025 Panini football is fully licensed, right?
Yeah, the Topps in calendar year 2025 will be unlicensed crap with players playing for "red team" and "white team" again.

Panini has until the end of 2025, so they will need to speed the later season releases a bit (Prizm, Optic, Select, etc)... but they can keep selling anything they print before year end for a reasonable timespan.

There will likely be some overlap with Topps doing licensed cards end of 2025 season (calendar year 2016). Fanatics/Topps will then have the license in 2026 and for TWENTY years. Get ready for some seriously crap sets and very high prices... with high print runs too.
Bad class incoming. 2013 worthy.
For sure. The 2025 rookie class is pitiful.

The QBs are jack and spit. McMillan and most WR with potential landed on bad teams. Jeanty and Hampton will be good for FFB and are the only probable good ones for cards... and RB cards are never great (even if they become studs like SBarkley and DHenry, cards not worth much.
