Wow. Sticker autographs. Amazing...:D
|
Another "what the heck is this amalgamation of products"... Gala coming to this, so there's no Recon; Vanta comes from Black, so none of that; no Crown Royale (which we already knew); Superstars, so no Contenders? Oh well, Panini is about to be done anyways.
|
Panini already mailing it in with these awful designs LOL.

Holiday laundry tags. Good timing at least. |

This is going to be a bloodbath. |
when does this trash go on sale?
|
This product feels like it could have been really cool, but it seems most likely that it will just become another 'meh' product. There might be a few cards worth picking up over time though.

What a weird mish mash of a product. I wonder what the Season Ticket cards will look like. Probably sticker auto is my guess.

Uhhhhh….FOTL in a week from $2000 down to $500
And I love how this is the “Debut” just as they’re losing their license  |

Am I the only one who’s looking forward to this? Box prices will be too high (as they all are), but if anyone’s actually looked at the checklist, there is going to be some really cool memorabilia cards in here, so tracking down some of the singles will be fun. Lots of game dated and special event stuff, including Christmas Day and NBA Finals relics. I even saw some rookies listed in the Stat Line patch sets, so unless I’m missing something we might see some game worn rookie patches. Only 1 auto per box but 7 mem, so this set looks like it will be focused on the game worn stuff, and the autos will mostly be an afterthought, although there are some cool triple and quad autos too.

I like this type of release, just hate where the price is going to be. Looks like FOTL will be at least 600 so Hobby should be around 250-300. Take a hundred off or so and I'll be pretty happy about it. |
I also thought the checklist was interesting. My PC player - who hasn't had any new cards in 5 years - has 13 cards in this product. Lots of other obscure vets who haven't had cards in ages.
This product will be great for secondary buyers - tough for solo rippers and people buying into breaks. |
Not only that but it's great for teams and NBA collectors. I'm hoping for a McClung/Nique/AG/LaVine quad auto, hopefully they are wearing the same jerseys as in the dunk contests.

Lol huh? Hobby presale is $700 which is ridiculous. Optic FOTL just sold out at $600. Even if presale of Silhouette hobby was reasonable there is a better chance of hell freezing over than FOTL getting close to $600. |
Where do you see presale at 700? I do think you are right about the rest although I still find it hard someone will pay over a grand for one auto.

A few places have had it in and out of stock for around that price. I just looked and some place I've never heard of has it for $500. I'm sure it's been that price or lower but these guys have been raising preorder hobby prices lately. I think Optic hobby went all the way from $330 to $500. Yet somehow Prizm hobby is $375 a box. What people are paying for most 24-25 hobby boxes right now is absolutely ridiculous. I'd love to get some Silhouette FOTL but probably not worth the risk as hobby should tank from $700. This stuff has so little interest from 99% of the hobby community that the majority of products there isn't 1 single post about the FOTL days before and soon after it sells out. Gotta be close to 100% of many of these going to breakers and big stores now. |

Mosaic International is going for sale at 175 today. You could get last year's, with Wemby rookies, for under 150 a few weeks ago. Silhouette is gonna have great singles though, I'm gonna wait for people to overpay and then I'll pick up some singles. |
So is this a Phoenix, or even a recon or flux? Or just some quasi-Topps mishmash.
I like the insert on the top and I love the holiday laundry tag idea. You could set up the set for whatever holiday you celebrate. |

Prices are gonna be hilarious when McCain is the 3rd/4th option and Castle is playing off the bench. People better hope Matas comes through. |
