Anyone know when the presale date is on Topps?

ThoseBackPages 07-12-2025 02:12 PM

i have not heard

Thanks. It’s the one product I buy off Topps every year and don’t want to miss it.

Especially since Sapphire products became impossible to get.

Pro debut is the best release!

lemmer 07-12-2025 04:59 PM
Pro debut is the best release!
Correct. Not even close for me since heritage minors was dropped (RIP).

Now I’ll say the thing that I laugh about when I read it in other threads: “if fanatics cuts (pro debut) then I’ll stop buying modern wax altogether.” I am 100% aware that fanatics doesn’t care about me or my paltry $200-$300 a year. But it makes me feel better to say it, and if I can’t say it on a baseball card forum, then where?

Release date was a little later than usual last year, September 6th. But should still have a little time before it's up for sale.

Its the only baseball I still buy after bailing on Heritage (also Heritage Minors RIP) and flagship this year.

Badgers0821 07-28-2025 12:07 PM

Has anyone seen an update on this by chance? Seems like we are less than 2 months from estimated release.

Is Topps even going to do Pro Debut this year with Leaf now licensed for minor league?

They are licensed for names and images only. No different than Panini baseball. Only Topps can do the name, image, and team.

onenineeightsix 07-28-2025 07:23 PM

It’s on their release schedule. Feel like it was September-October last year.

Yea, I’m looking for the pre-sale date, not release date.

Not sure this one will be in Pro Debut because they are advertising MiLB Logoman and this one is from a MLB jersey, but yes the addition of these will likely make prices ridiculous.

scotchtape0 08-26-2025 12:42 PM

Many people will be highly disappointed if Fanatics uses MiLB Logoman chase to jack up the price of Pro Debut. Affordable hobby boxes are already a rarity these days and putting in chase cards that only a handful of people will ever get to justify a significant price increase on one of the last affordable products is nauseating.

I get that the hobby is all about the breakers and making them happy, but there are other collectors like me out there who still like to rip their own boxes... it is getting harder and harder to do that though. For now, I'll keep my fingers crossed that the price increase will be minimal, but probably just wishful thinking.

Agreed, I've been hoping we get at least one more year of fair pricing on this set. It's not looking good tho...

Not sure what a Tarik Skubal Logoman has to do with Pro Debut? Also not sure why you think 300/600 for a product that breakers hate?

If I didn't know better I almost might think you weren't posting in good faith.

FatButcher 08-26-2025 01:05 PM

Pretty good sign this will be coming soon:https://www.topps.com/pages/topps-pro-debut-baseball

That's the pic I got from the article I read that logomans will be in pro debut. And no I'm not posting in good faith for topps. It's just a reason to jack up prices for a low end product. Realistic, pre orders will probably be $129.99 hobby and $250 jumbo. After topps sells out (probably release 25 cases and 250 boxes on the site) they'll jack up the rebuys at $200 hobby and $400 jumbo to the lcs'.

Based on the link posted to Topps this is a new insert set. Not sure how much people will want to chase it when it’s just an insert set and not terribly relevant to the actual product but who knows.

As someone mentioned in another thread, it will probably drop without any notification or marketing, which means I’ll probably miss out.

That would equate to a 50% price increase on Hobby and a 275% increase on Jumbo over last year's release day prices. Even with Skenes autos falling out of this product in abundance last year, 2024 took a long time to dry up to today's prices. You can still get a 2024 Jumbo for around $180 and those came out around $90 last year.

Hard for me to believe that Topps could triple the price of jumbo by adding a few minor league jersey logoman's and suddenly people will fight over it?

This was my sentiment as well.

No mention of Hobby boxes just Jumbo. They raised the autos to 4 per Jumbo box. Is Topps eliminating the Hobby box? I hope not.

Huh, it never crossed my mind that they’d add logomans to pro debut. Which is dumb on my part, because of course they would

BabaORiley 08-28-2025 12:47 AM

If Topps f*cks up Pro Debut, I'm probably out on modern current wax. it's the one pure product they have left.
