Your 2025 AL MVP will be....?
Who will be the 2025 AL MVP?
From the chatter here, it seems split down the middle.... Lets take an official poll. |
ALL RISE!!
|
No disrespect to Raleigh's amazing season, it's Judge. He's leading in just about every offensive category.

I give it to Cal, breaking a bunch of records for the position has historic relevance and I think that's more important to the legacy of the sport than another to Judge based on being better in a bunch of other categories
Also Cal does play a more difficult position defensively |
the .247 vs .326 BA does it for me. Judge.

I agree, even though not a Judge/Yankees fan, the BA is what does it for me as well. Just too hard to accept the low batting average for MVP. |

If they are going to give Raleigh the MVP solely based on having 10 more homeruns than Judge, then they have to go back to the archaic times when the pitcher with the most wins predominantly won the Cy Young.

Great for the people who waited to bet on Judge. |

Feel free.
I never use fangraphs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
It's Judge.
Best player in baseball.
In the American league, yes. |
Feel free.
I never use fangraphs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
fangraphs and BR calculate WAR differently (specificly defense), so the large WAR gap is non existent via fangraphs. 9.2 fWAR Judge 8.8 fWAR Cal. The betting odds in the other thread cited as the tale that this is a dead race in the other thread also being a dead tie is just more telling this race is going either way. (and I still would personally say Cal) |
Regular greatness vs. historic greatness at the toughest position on the field. Judge is awesome, but Raleigh's season is one for the ages.
It's Judge.

Luckily they have the Hank Aaron award for best hitter to give to Judge this season.

So many hills to die on, some pick them all!
Judge in a landslide. Stats don't lie. |

Historic greatness for home runs for sure, I’m not sure you can say the same with the .247 average with a high amount of Ks… |
