1 Box Prizm Black
 

I haven’t opened something this expensive in years so I figured I’d give it a shot. I always told my wife I’m a glutton for punishment when it comes to expensive boxes. My son and I have opened 7 packs so far and here are the hits. So far about what I expected with my luck. Out of 23 inserts/parallels only 5 have been rookies. I’ll update this with additional pictures once we finish the box.

If it makes you feel better, if there's a year where you don't want rookies, this is it. I'm waiting for prices to go down a little bit to pick up a box or two, there's a lot of color in these.

Thanks for sharing ... Unusual how Dalton Knecht and Jarred McCain both have the arms up in hair shrug pose while literally every other card in the set seems to be the most basic poses imaginable

Packman is not the one I would be using to judge it. Find the worst box on YT and you'll be close to it

The thing is, this is a case product. Buying a box is similar to buying a pack out of a decent hobby box.

That being said, I think almost half the boxes would have a big hit (Groovy/Manga, Gold or better, Snakeskin, top auto). It just should be like 50% of where it is right now.

That sucks. It feels like they just loaded up FOTL and left nothing for hobby

Don't mind the look of the cards, would maybe buy a box at half price. Looks like OP got 6 Autos and someone else posted 5. What is supposed to be in a box?

I've been using that to determine whether to go for a box or not. If I were to buy a case of the product, is the best card going to cover the price of the box (on average)? If the answer is no, I don't even consider buying it.

You get 5 autos and around 10 numbered cards. Seems like a lot but more than half of them are numbered to 199 or higher.

This is still better than the Topps sticker dump products back in 2008-09.
