If this is correct this is horrible, how do people put up with this .

I feel like topps loaded tribute to get everyone trusting their product and then pulled the rug out with the gypsy queen and now this.

I was pumped about TTT but now I think I will wait

Gypsy Queen was a good product with the exception of having to mail back packs for the 2nd auto. Most all the names on the original checklist ended up in the product.

Seriously. melleted have you checked the price of Gypsy Queen lately? It may go down as the second best baseball product in 2011 once the dust settles. Unless Marquee proves to be the baby brother of Tribute.

Holy crap...i just read the story in the link...i feel sick to my stomach. Like I was played for a sucker.

I'm new to this whole think and so far been loving the hobby/business of rip and flip, but this is nuts. I literally did not know this could happen. When you guys were saying there would be changes, I thought it would be minor, but wow.

The one omission that really blew my mind was the Stras/Harper/Zimm triple...I mean hasn't that very card been the one at the top of all the advertisements? It was plastered everywhere!!

So I have TWO f'n 12 box cases of this stuff coming...it looks like I basically have ZERO chance to make my money back...I was gonna get a case of Marquee but now I'm worried about the same thing happening...

I think I'll just slit my wrists now...am I over reacting? (over reacting to all the above..not the wrists part..its just money..lol)

LMAO!! If I don't pull a Harper auto, I just may...they will find me in my bedroom with "Duryea" spray painted all over the walls and nobody will be able to figure out what the hell it means...

No chance I buy Platinum hobby. Its gonna be real cool when they drop Laurie and Ranaudo from BC and people still pay a ton for it because of Harper

Harper autos seem to be falling one per every 3 six-box cases. So if statistics serve you right, you should get one and possibly two. Good luck!

Harper is only a $250 card and dropping QUICK. No way to justify buying this product with the raping of the checklist from Topps. Furious I have 3 cases of this sitting here.

So.. is there absolutely nothing that consumers can do about this? I'm sure Topps covers their ass with all sorts of "subject to change" disclaimers... but still.. this is pretty much fraud or false advertising or something.

Prices on every single product release seem to crash the weekend after release and then begin recovering on Monday. The fact that Harper base cards are still mostly in the $15+ range tells me that this product will hold steady value once the initial eBay rush gets sold off. I've also been told that Dealernet buys have stayed high so if dealers are still buying it at high prices, they certainly aren't doing it to lose money.

there's more value in this than just Harper.......... i am dumbfounded how people can have blinders on and will only look in one direction.

i agree with you however there isnt as much value as advertised. funny we never saw any updated checklists before release. i bet if topps would have sweetened the checklist we would have seen updates.

What?? The Harper isn't in every 3 6-box case, that would mean its easier to pull his auto than any one of the other players. I'm sure the odds of pulling any one person in the checklist is harder than 1 in every 3 6-box case. I may be wrong but I just can't believe it would be that easy.

which atlanta sports cards lists as being non existent.

just saying the atlanta SC list isnt exactly accurate.
I see a Buchholz relic/au on ebay as well.

I'm sure alot of people just didn't buy this for Harper. They probably bought it also for Belt, Culver, Colon, Machado, Taillon, and what seemed to be a nice vet relic auto checklist and some sick multi autos. But when Topps comes out and screws the buyer the way they did with this butchering... Well it only leaves you praying for Harper in your case, because otherwise you know you just got screwed out of a grand. Topps made this product literally a Harper or bust product, by doing what they did. So glad I didn't touch any of this. I didn't like it from the get go. Sure the cars are beautiful and they did a good job designing them, but that doesn't make you feel much better about Topps going rawdog on you with no lube.

Thanks for the pics, just shows Atl Sports cards is full of hyperbole... I am sure many more autos will surface in time. Not saying topps doesnt do this from time to time, but I don't think it is as bad as Atl Sports Cards is making it out to be. I think they are basing their 'facts' off of what their customers alone are opening, which is just a small percentage of the total product line.
