I have an All in one printer scanner that scans raw cards awesomely
mike have you scanned it with the lid open?
I don't believe I have. What's it do? |
I just got a Canon 9000F and it scans really clear pictures. It's $200 but I really think it's one of those you get what you pay for situations. The only issue I have with it is that it does so much stuff and there are so many options. If you get it make sure you download the full manual from Canon's website.

WOW ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ now that is a nice scan/scanner! :)!

My scanner is dog crap, so I'll be interested to see what others recommend. Looking for the best scanner that also has a printer. That Harper scan is awesome.

Check out this thread. Specifically the post about ccd scanners. You can find inexpensive ones and this should solve your blurry problems on thicker scans, specifically graded cards. Most all-in one printer/scanners are not ccd. |

That's the best scan I've ever seen. If I make a lot of $ off of flipping cards I may pick one up
Collectors Universe Forums - SCANNING BASEBALL CARDS | Best buy? Check out this thread. Thanks guys... Here is a magnetic one-touch as requested:

I haven't looked, but I'm sure if you research your scanner it's not ccd and the nice scan in this thread is from a ccd scanner. |

canoscan 8800f is a great scanner.
|
clean your scanner olol
|
I find I can get mine a little more clear if I cover the scanner with a dark t-shirt or towel when I'm scanning slabs.
I'm not sure, but I'm thinking it has to do with blocking some of the light coming in under the lid. My lid only partially closes when I'm scanning anything that thick. |
Bumping this back up. I have tons of slabs to scan!
|
Mine really kicks arse at scaning graded cards...in fact it just kicks arse in general. Best part is I got it very slightly used from some Photog. guy on craigslist for like 30 bucks cause he was upgrading to a newer model. Example:

Care to share the brand and model? Or do we have to give you 1 or 2 free Panini autos for that kind of information? |
