jhiggy11 04-11-2012 08:46 PM

Next AP? How about becoming the next Donald Brown first.

longhrncardshop 04-11-2012 08:49 PM

That's what I was gonna say.

But, even if he does start holding onto the football, I don't think he'll be the next adrian peterson.

But if you're talking about the AP that was on the Bears, then sure :D

For drugs, not for awesome lol

HighEndHits 04-11-2012 08:51 PM

his top potential is as a short yardage specialist, but can't do that if he keeps fumbling.

fert360 04-11-2012 08:52 PM

By AP I meant like a really good rb.

HighEndHits 04-11-2012 08:59 PM

Really good running backs usually have a great first year:

AP 2007: 1,341 yards / 5.6yds per carry / 12 TDs
Tomlinson 2001: 1,236 yards / 10 TDs
Barry Sanders 1989: 1,470 yards / 5.3 per carry / 14TDs
Delone Carter 2011: 377 yards / 2 TDs

Not really fair to say that as many offenses now run "by committee." I understand where you are coming from and agree. Just not sure that is the best way to justify it.

Top RBs have never and will never been in a committee. The reason for that is they are by far and away superior backs and deserve to be on the field every single down.

I believe he will. I saw huge signs of potential in the preseason, and he was looking good the first half of the season, and the Colts O-Line was ******* awful. I am looking for him to get the start at the beginning of the season.

Yeah, I guess you are right...Priest Holmes magically got good once he went to KC. The offense the teams run has a lot to do with what stats the running back is going to have. That's all I am trying to say.

YanksBillsFan 04-11-2012 09:45 PM

Didn't really do much when the opportunity presented itself. But it's not like he had much of a chance with that offense in place. Could be a guy who emerges with a better opportunity or an improved offense in Indy.

FreeMan12406 04-12-2012 12:06 AM

Of course he can become the next Adrian Peterson, easy....
