2011 Playoff Prime Cuts question
 

Hi guys

I recently opened up a box of 2011 Playoff Prime Cuts and got the following:

and my good old friend Jackie Robinson 3/5 but no Auto :-(

Question:
This Jackie card, I cant find it anywhere on the web for sale or even in pictures...does mean: I have the only one? People are not selling it? No one else has it yet?

I also can find the other 4 cards of this set.

Looking to see how much this Jackie can go for...also, the redemption card I saw sell on ebay for 100 bucks. I already submitted it in to get it Is this a card I shopuld flip or hold on to for a little bit?


Little backround: I used to collect about 10yrs ago and just recently, today, started reading up on the hobby again and also bought some stuff.

First let me say welcome back. Second, do not put redemption cards unless you cover the numbers. This product has been out a while and EBAY only goes back 2 weeks. There are sites that keep EBAY history but most you have to pay to be a member, maybe someone will check it for you?

The "Timelines" Triple /25 has been selling for 36-45

There was one Timelines Quad /5 sell for 68

"Icons" singles GU sell for 18-20

I would say this card would sell for 60-70

Put a $100 BIN/BO and see what offers come in.

But isn't it odd that I cant find this card on the web? or even the rest of the set? or pices for that matter.

Maybe folks are holding on to them, maybe I should too.

There's only five of them and the product sucks so the others could be sitting in a pack. Once people got bent over busting this stuff when it came out, I don't think too many are willing to pay for a pack of this crap.

Do what you want with it. Why do people always ask what they should do with their damn card? Sell it and buy some nice clothes. That's something most card collectors lack.

I am mearly asking for opinions, I already have my mind made up, just curious to know what you guys who are avid collectors would do since I havent collected for almost 10yrs.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like such a dick. Sell it and buy cards you want. Welcome back to the hobby.

It's all good

You could always put it on eBay with a super high BIN/BO and only sell if the price is absurdly right. I've got a couple of PC cards on eBay right now that I'm only going to let go if someone offers me far more than I'd ask for in the real world. That way you get to stare at it whenever and won't feel too badly about letting it go for a stack o' greens :-).

I dont forsee me buying these packs again, so holding it to see if I get the set is useless. Plus I dont see much chatter about this so I might as well sell it to an avid Jackie fan or Ebay it like mentioned above for a crazy price and see who bites :-)

Can I ask somebody whats with the sticker autos out of your box. Everything I pulled was hard signed. Id be pissed if I paid that much for a box and not only recieved all prospect auto's, but stickers as well. The only prospect auto I have left is Dylan Bundy, and it is hard signed...what gives???

Yeah im not a happy camper about that.

Thats because there is only 5 total cards like that #d to 5 so yeah they are either still sitting in packs or w/e. Id be happy to get 60-70 for it. Prime Cuts was a huge disappointment esp for the price!!

this is the wrong site to be looking for avid collectors......... [B]people will say they are collectors[/B], but what they really do is hold onto cards for the PC until they can sell it for more than they bought it.

there are a few guys that actually collect but for the most part, people here open wax and buy singles to resell. sounds like you want to open wax to sell on eBay.

and BTW, the best thing to do with redemptions is sell them. never redeem one.

I'm the kid? You're the guy who can't figure out why he can't find the other four cards in a series of five. Everyone is trying to figure out ways to tell you but you are just confused all around. The only thing you seem to get was my post. Please, read what others are telling you.
