4 Case TRISTAR Prospects Plus...
 

WOW! They must've cranked the printing presses this year.
last year 300 case. I heard 500 this year, and that is probably close.

last year I opened 2 cases...hit about 6-8 #/50 cards per case (some people hit 9-10), and 1 dual auto #/15

this year they have taken out 1 per box jerseys and the 1 per case patches (which means no auto patches either), that stinks big time...
BUT added new parallels YELLOW #/25; ORANGE #/5; PURPLE #/1 (while keeping greens #/50)

in 48 boxes i hit 14 greens #/50 & 7 yellows #/25 (2 greens were non-autos & 1 yellow was non-auto; they can not get autos of all players)

so NO #/5 (i hoped for 2 until i saw how rare parallels were, then hoped for 1)
and NO #/1; also no dual #/15 or no triples #/5

OUCH!
plus, the checklist is weaker & they nearly doubled the auto checklist from last year

NOT SURE WHICH AUTOS ARE SP YET, but sorting those 480 cards now
(i did get one of each it appears)

here's my greens/yellows...(way too many doubles/triples)
GREEN... pope (no auto); scherzer (no auto); burgess X2 (both in same case!), savery X3 (2 in same case!); brackman; donaldson X2; j. parker; bumgarner; heyward; culberson

YELLOW... hilligoss (no auto); n. ramirez; desme; lotzkar; beavan; c. brown X2 (both in same case)

as you see pack/box control not good, in fact i would go 8 boxes in a case without a parallel, THEN hit 2 in one pack, or 2 in a box...

more results later...sad to see GU and GU AUTOS leave

does anyone know where i can find an sp list from tristar elegance?

Correct me if I am wrong Brent, but this looks like a major comedown from last year. Is there ANY upside to this product? It looks to me that it may tank big time in the coming days on case pricing.

well, last year i more than doubled my $ at $825/case, and some tripled!
and while there are no more gu or golds, there are still duals/triples and new parallels

i do think it is weaker, and now at $1,000/case ... yes it is not as good as last year
HOWEVER due the 1 auto/pack, and last year, i can not see this going down, if it does i don't know why...
so rather than $4100 on a $1650 investment, i may get like $6k off $4k

but at $8/auto + base +inserts + parallels, it's still nice
but no it should not be the double-$maker last year was UNLESS you get 1/2 case or 1 case and hit great dual/triple/#5/#1

Brent ... no orange #/5 in 4 cases?? The first case I busted had (4) #/5 and (3) green #/50 autod, plus 1 yellow #/25 and 1 green #/50 non auto!! Collation must be horrible!!

I agree with others .. I busted last year and it's not the product that it was last year ... and will not do as well, although you will not lose your shirt.

IT IS BAD COLLATION, but yes no losing $ here, not yet...

truthfully, these are easy, breaks can be done in a couple hours, and scanning is so easy, just scan in groups and hit relist a million times

I put our results from 1 case in bold beside yours, if wunderkind could his input from his 2 cases we could come up with a fairly accurate list. Right now, from our 2 breaks it looks like there are 4 or 5 definites.

I will try and get this done for you guys tonight. And see where it leads. I am so busy right now, I don't know how BrentandBecca is doing all the listing, packaging, and sorting so quickly. I just don't seem to have the time.

I have done it for years, and have a system...i work until6-7pm every night m-sat,a nd then come home and work

last night i ripped in 1hr 45 min and ate, then sorted autos by name, scanned one of each different in lots of 8, used turbolister to list, and it all took from 6pm-10:55pm by myself, then at 11pm-1am, my wife and i shipped 37 items from paypal multilabel, and i PM 6 people 52 trade and sent those out, was in bed by 2am, it was a late night, but hey, got to do it
so tonight...i am just going to turbolister and relisting all multiple cards
i will sort base tonight, hope to get done in player lots by midnight
then rip BDP tomorrow, print labels, and mail saturday, but i work 8am-5pm saturday so busy weekend
then next wednesday i have elite, it's is busy
but i have done this since 1986, and you should see how fast my hands move at typing and sorting :)

Does turbolister save that much time? You still have to make a new listing for each different card don't you?

no, i usually edit listing and just change name
OR
i duplicate listings (in this case, so i have the same player kept on file, so i can just highlight the ones i want relisted and bam, it's done, take 3 minutes)
and go in and make one for every player

ebay used to take forever manually, but now, once you do one auction, yes, you can click sell similar and all info is same, you'd just have to change name in title and then description, and change pricing or pic if needed, then go to next page...

turbolister is nice because it can put everything in alpha order (easy to track), and it lists all at one time, and you can edit all on page, rather than clicking links, clicking through pages on ebay

it could save hours on a couple hundred listings, maybe more

why not use turbolister, it's free

I recommend turbo lister also, only takes me about a 1/2 hr listing 30 cards :)

yes, i have timed myself many times, i can usually do a listing in 25 seconds on most nights
