question for the hockey people on radulov
 

...do you guys think this guy will pan out in the near future? all i've seen is his cup patch/autos/99 drop (even before i got a case of the cup)... a lot of his /99 autos are selling for about 350... reason I asked is because I received an offer on ebay for my radulov for that much... yes i need the money, BUT if there is a reason to keep holding onto him, then I will...

your thoughts?

Capt- history has told us to sell and move on to other things. That by nature is what we do ( or should do anyway). I am victim to holding onto stuff way too long and lose out at the the end of the day. I think Radulov has potential but who knows when that will break through........I dont even want to go into the whole Russian/Euro thing. He is deep into his second season and is doing slightly better than last season in which he was by no means anything to shout about..........flip it and move on......

but damn.. 350?!!? does he suck that much? LOL...

here is what im toying with in my head... the radulov i have ends in 5 hrs.. so i have time to relist again tonight with the 20 cent fixed price listing deal.. so that can buy me another week at a cheap listing price to try again for another deal. if that doesn't pan out, I was thinking of adding it to my christmas listings, start it at 99 cents and let it run until a couple days after christmas so the kids could spend their money...

but on the other hand... i could use the money right away so i could get a case of marvel which i'm dying to get right now...but im wondering if i will get much more for the card if i hold it to flip after christmas?

Did you check completed listings yesterday? I may be wrong but I think a raddy went for more than $350. Isn't it #'ed 1/99? If it is I would take no less than $450-$500. MHO!!

the ones that have gone for more than 350 have been unredeemed (go figure they could end up with a one color) and the 5 color ones .

I'd fix price it. Only non-RedWing Russian player I can think of that held collectors interest longer than his rookie year was Kovalchuk and even his stuff has dropped in the past couple seasons. Only Russian players I'd hold onto right now are Ovie and Malkin. Ovie because the NHL has pegged him as one of their poster boys and Malkin because of the potential this team has as far as being perennial contenders for the next decade.

bam - so me trying to get 4-500 isn't too much of a reach then? thats what i was expecting when i first pulled the redemption but its been a couple months...

I don't think putting it up for that much would hurt your chance of a sale. While its anyones guess what you'll get, I always say to someone selling anything high-end, its all about what you'd settle for and be happy with getting.

well, i finally received the best offer on it that i've received in a long time... $400 bucks... i have a couple days on it so if anyone on here wants to counter.. let me know otherwise i might let it go
