New seller on COMC, are my prices too high?

I just made my first submission to COMC by sending 750 low to mid-end cards in. I know I'm being impatient, but I've only had 1 sale in 48 hours, so I'm wondering if that's normal or if my prices are too high.

If the card I submitted was already there I usually undercut the other one. If it's under a dollar I cut it down by only 5 or 10 cents, but for multiple dollar cards I usually dropped it a quarter or fifty cents. If my card was the only one in there I looked at similar cards and then bumped it up slightly for being the only one.

What do you guys think? I would rather move the cards than to squeeze an extra dime out of every card, so maybe I am overpriced. Just wanted to get some input! Thanks in advance!

(btw, if you see something you like let me know and I'll make you a good Blowout discount on it...sorry to spam)

Well, to me the prices do seem as if you are trying to squeeze some dimes out . LoL . But that is kinda how the site works . That is how I usually sell . I try to be the lowest on the site . But you are not gonna have alot of 8 dollar sales on Yao Ming jerseys 13 dollar chin-lung auto or 7 dollar Ramon Sessions refractors . But they may sell with time . Accept all offers and post that you do and you will sell a ton . Blow stuff out at 80 or 90 percent and stuff will sell . Besides that ... it is a waiting game , but the low man on the totem pole usually will sell with time if the price is right ... **errr low enough .

Ps I take ALL offers . LoL Good Luck

After selling for three years on this site, my rule of thumb is 5% of inventory moves per month. In my case, if I want to move $1k of inventory, then I need to maintain 20k worth of cards in my portfolio.

If you are move more than 5%, that is a great month! If less, then I drop all my prices by 10% off my asking price. In 40 months, I've never had back to back bad months using this logic.

If you are impatient, than drop everything to 80% off for two weeks, then have a port sale. If you do, pm me as I can lowball with the best of them :flex:
