Max Kepler Chrome Autos...Did he really sign them?

Check out the Max Kepler Chrome autos in this eBay listing. Anyone else think he had help signing his cards?

You sign 3000 cards and show us if they all look very similar. I am sure he signed ll of them. These don't look all that different to me, or am I missing something?

cardbored 04-15-2013 01:40 AM

Did you see that last one?

MJZak1977 04-15-2013 01:42 AM

Some people just sign their name like that. My wife makes fun of me all the time. My signature is almost never the same. Even from page to page on my loan for my house. They are all different. Ive written 3 different large checks that the bank actually called me to make sure they were legit.

dthimesch 04-15-2013 07:40 AM

I don't understand. :(

If you take a person and have him sign his name 100 times lets say, no 2 will be exactly alike. However, there are certain things like direction of slant, location of pressure points, and overall pen speed ect that will NEVER change. These things will be consistant on all 100 sigs. Having said that, the second to last one looks a bit odd. Upon further examination and comparing it to other exemplars of his auto, I think perhaps the card was at an angle when he signed. Just my opinion thanks...

Confused...they don't look any different than any other ones I'ev seen. Don't get me started on Oscar Tavares...it's obvious there are alot of fakes out there now.

hard to say, I almost always sign my name different as well though, it never looks the same twice

thats happened a handful of times in basketball, where someone else obviously signed some cards (rookie year randy foye is the funniest one off the top of my head), no reason to think it'd never happen in baseball

He asked Dez Bryant and Von Miller for suggestions on signing his cards.

cardbored 04-15-2013 12:30 PM

I'm not saying all of them are fake, but I just noticed inconsistencies when looking at all 8 of them together (prob fatigue). There is one that really stands out from the rest, but someone suggested he may have signed while the card was slanted. I just know that if someone sent that auto in to PSA, it may have a hard time passing if it wasn't on a Bowman Chrome certified auto card.

He was also 16 or 17 when he signed them. Teenagers aren't known for their quality penmanship

I received an email from someone claiming to be Max Kepler's mom (and received reasonable evidence to support the claim) and just wanted to post it here:

Diese e-mail war nicht auf Deutsch! Just kidding. I know she's in Texas. It's pretty cool that she wrote a BO admin and put my suspicion to rest.
