Hank Aaron's Signature
Are there any experts on Hank Aaron's signature on the board? I'd like to add an autographed baseball to my collection and just don't want to spend my money on a fake (I'm definately going for a PSA or JSA certification).
Are there any distinguishing characteristics to look for in Hank's signature, or ways to tell if a PSA/JSA ball has been altered? I've noticed some balls for sale have both JSA and PSA authentication stickers, and I've seen some stickers that tend to bubble up a bit - is this normal? Thanks in advance for your advice. |
I always like bringing this in when I can!

The back of the ball actually has the Oh Henry logo on it too! |
I'm no expert, but here is one on an old NL ball. His autograph today looks very different as he has gotten older. Much less fluid with his penstroke (far less fluid than the Henry Aaron auto above).
The stickers can bubble up over time, but usually not if properly stored and not handled excessively. Always make sure to check the PSA or JSA online database to ensure the cert # matches the item. Also, make sure you get the cert with the ball, not simply the sticker on the ball. Hope that helps some. Good luck with your purchase. I would just pay the extra for a Steiner Hank Aaron baseball. I know they've had him in a lot recently and he's signed a ton for them.
