2013 NFLPA Rookie Premiere

25-32 NFL teams were represented and My Lions were snubbed
I don't see why they would invite Dion Jordan but not Ziggy Ansah especially when the Dolphins already had a player attending
A few teams are heavily represented including: The Steelers, the 49ers, the Cowboys, and the Bills
For the first time ever the 1st overall pick did not attend the Rookie Premiere (Didnt even receive an invite)
This years class is pretty weak though and I'm not seeing a big ticket player that is worth chasing...
I have decided to stick with my hometown players to collect this year
Denied Robinson, and Le'Veon Bell
Both happen to be on teams I have formally collected as well

It sucks when your team is snubbed but I imagine the Lions haven't been snubbed often. My Seahawks on the other hand were snubbed almost every time.

2004
2005
2006
2007
2008
2011

wish they could figure out a way to at least include 1 player from every team.

Yeah 5 years straight is ridiculous it should be one year at the most

yankeesfan24 05-19-2013 04:28 PM

Dallas didn't have one in 2005, 2006 or 2007. Thankfully, every year since with the exception of 2012 they have had one representative. I am glad they got 3 this year

BmoreRavens90 05-19-2013 06:15 PM

Ravens didnt have anyone either. Probably because the only WR/RB/TE we drafted was in the last round... unless you count the FB we drafted which it seems that the card industry doesnt count that lol :P

But as a fan of my team for what they do on the field more than the cards, I guess thats a blessing... We draft late every year because we have those play makers already taken care of.

Did KC have anyone there?

I know I would rather have a first round defensive guy more than a 6th or 7th round WR or RB who may not even make the team. I know some examples against my wish are Tyson Jackson, Marcel Dareus, and others and O-lineman are guys like Jason Smith and Joe Thomas. They dont sell well at all but a a team collector I buy an auto or 2 of almost every Broncos draftee. This years class is horrible. I will be buying Montee Ball and not doing many boxes. I may even build my Elway PC to a much higher status.

Honestly I am glad no Lions were invited. Should mean there won't be 10 million Ziggy Ansah autos out there. He will most likely be in products like Elite/R&S but just wont be whored out like the Rookie Premiere rookies are. It also means that the Lions addressed needs in the draft instead of RB, WR, like they do every year (they still did it this year but at least used their late draft picks on them).

Fisher is to busy working with the team to get everything down to win games this year!! He could care less about a photo shoot and autograph session at the rookie premiere!! He will sign in KC if you want his autograph!

Actually in many products the non-RPS guys have more autos. Those are the guys with the unnumbered or very high numbered autos that most auto hits are made of. In most products, you'll get 1 RPS auto per box, but in many cases 2 or more non-RPS "scrub" autos.

I agree with what you are saying but the RPS players sign so many variations in each product while the non-RPS only have one card in each set
I think it is more even
