WD 53 or Batman Adv 12?
 

Ok gang, need your opinion.

I can get a VF-NM copy of BA #12 for $80 or a NM copy of WD 53 for $60.

Which way should I sway?

depending on the visual appearance of the BA #12, at that price, it's a total steal.

Im going in the opposite direction here, WD 53 is a better investment for a shorter turnaround.

I'd say both are really good price. Long term I'd say BM A 12 has best potential to keep growing in price. But you could flip that WD53 once Abraham is established in TV show & make nice $$$$

ba 12 is crazy hot right now, maybe wd 53 becomes that way but right now not close

My thinking on WD 53 is that we get an established character for at least 3 seasons of the show. Unless we have another Andrea situation, this could be a huge shot in the arm for the issue. Time will tell.

thanks for the responses guys....definitely leaning towards BA 12 right now. On top of that, I am not sure how long Abraham will be around for....anyone know? For all we know, it could be 1 or 2 episodes.

I HIGHLY doubt that, he lasted in the book 45 issues, but if you read my above post, it could be an Andrea thing where it deviated heavily from the book. I see him at least making it to the next season though. They wouldnt have gone to the extent of keeping his presence in the show a secret for him to only be there 2 episodes

I found a copy of WD 53 today for 22 bucks.

I've been checking these shops down here, and not even a sniff of BA 12

Eugene dies , he isn't a lasting character, he is important yes, but he's not Rick, Jesus, Michonne or Ezekial. Book will go up because everyone reads these threads and buys them, but this will be a $25 book this time next year in my opinion. I agree buy WD #19 first appearance of Michonne or #108 with Ezekial.

Harley Quinn is going to be a player in the DC universe for YEARS to come, BA #12 has a low print number, most who bought were kids who actually read it, so finding them in great conditions are difficult.

He was in WD for over 40 issues. You mention Jesus & Ezekiel, who is say either of them won't die before that time? I know he's no Rick or Michonne, but when he was alive he was a key character. Anyhows though we all know the TV show deviates from the comic anyway.

Also it is Rosita & Eugene's 1st app & they are also both coming into season 4.

Also everyone seems of forgot Bob Stookey is also joining this season (although in the comic he was only a small character)

Get the WD #53 and I will paypal you money and get the BA #12 for me. :)

BA 12 is already about even in price with WD 19. Is WD 53 really going to surpass WD 19?

I guess the question is, which has the most potential value gain? Then buy based on that. Comics arent my only hobby and I dont always have cash to buy everything, so at the end of the day, I just buy what I like.

I am not even a dc person but ba 12 anytime..It holds its value and goes up, 53 could be like all the others, up quick and then down ..
